Poor/lucky Greece...

If fandom is anything to go by, Turkey/Japan is pretty much a non-possibility and Greece has about an equal chance of ending up with either one of them. Not to mention that Japan and Turkey make for an excellent Betty vs. Veronica scenario with Greece (which one is better for him - his sweet, polite best friend or his sexy, rough-talking foe?).
With all this in mind, let's have a Greece+Turkey+Japan fic where instead of Greece and Turkey competing for Japan's attention, it's Turkey and Japan vying for Greece's affections. Bonus points if both of them deny having romantic feelings for Greece (with Turkey being all "I just want to get him riled up as my foe" and Japan being all "I just think of him as a really good friend") even when their true feelings for him couldn't be any more obvious

Oh…oh god, I should be finishing my other fills. OTL OTL OTL But this plot bunny just won’t leave my head. Methinks I deviated a bit. I hope OP won’t mind. Please enjoy!

Japan opened his eyes.
The sunlight streaming into the room was so bright it was close to unbearable. He wondered what time of day it was and disconcertingly tried to determine his surroundings. The first few things he noticed were the fact he was on a bed and felt distinctly warm, uncomfortable and sticky. The unmistakable scent of morning dew hung in the room like a cloud, along with the smell of sweaty bed sheets, tang and musk of someone and sex

“I’m serious Turkey-san.” Japan’s gaze was resolute.
Turkey held up his hands in defeat. “I hear ya,” He sat on the dining table with a sigh and took the pot from Japan’s hands, pouring himself a cup and reaching for the milk. “Ain’t proud of it either.” A pause. “I can’t believe I said those things. Aaagh, shit.” He then made a face as if to get a bad taste off his tongue.
His companion smiled. “I suppose one really can’t help what they say when they’re drunk.” He reddened horribly at the memory of his own ‘confession.’ “Let’s forget about it.”
Turkey nodded and sipped his coffee noisily. “Ah. It’s a good brew. Who taught you?”
Japan awkwardly ate his breakfast with a fork and spoon. “He did. Whenever we’d meet at his house, I’d brew him coffee in the morning.”
Turkey grinned. “So you really are after him

While I'm not a fan of Turkey/Japan, this was good.
I'm really glad you picked this up, anon, since I'd probably subconsciously be slightly Die for my ship. ^^" Recaptcha agrees with me that Giripan is the "legitimate" pairing. xD
It's a bit different from what I was asking for, yes, but I liked reading it very much nonetheless! Turkey/Japan is a pairing you don't see often to say the least, but I enjoyed the way you wrote them here even if I wish that we could have gotten more insight into Turkey's feelings - although maybe that can come in a continuation? If you're planning to continue this, of course - I'd love to see what happens with them next, believe me!
