China America -- Testing the Boundaries

This US!Anon has been watching all the recent RL China/US interactions with a wary and interested (and sometimes rolling) eye. And she can't help but think when you strip away all the serious political mumbo jumbo and ramifications that it very much seems like China is puffing itself up with it's new found almost-a-Superpower status and is starting to deliberately prod and poke and intimidate the US to see how far it can push and control the confines of the "partnership" while the US does it's own thing and occasionally thumbs it's nose at China while it also tests the boundaries of how far it can push back. (Both of them with a sometimes very obvious...I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you...vibe
