Seconded for #2! Because that seems so weirdly ... probable? I bet that's the kind of thing the author would do in canon if s/he could get away with it. XDDD

After the noon siesta, he walked the streets looking for something to eat from the markets. He reminded himself to buy extra cat food - he always gets some when he goes out. There's always the threat of him running out just as the shops have closed, and having hungry cats nipping at his feet and yowling all night

After that, he'd turn on the computer and start shopping a little more and ordering things online. There was always a worry in the back of his mind that Japan would get as ill as he did after the war. So Greece spent a lot of his time trying to ensue that Japan stayed healthy. He bought a lot of Japan's exports. Electronics, mostly, but also a lot of food, and whatever else he could find to ensure that Japan's economy stayed strong

Greece wasn't sure how it first happened. It seemed very suddenly that his boss was talking of deficits and an overabundance of spending. Greece had spent most of his time sleeping through the meetings. He hadn't much use for the sorts of dramatic plans America was always spouting, nor the internal dramas between them all. So it was that this crisis, this sickness was entirely a surprise to him. And just as soon, he found himself growing lightheaded, and his naps lengthening to near blackouts where he would go comatose for hours

The number of Greece/Japan requests being filled recently makes me happy like you wouldn't believe. Especially since I suspect that you're the same anon who did the nekomata!Greece fill (or at least that your writing styles are quite similar).
I've kind of wondered at times if a monogamous relationship would really be feasible for Japan and Greece, considering Greece's "#1 in frequency of sex" ranking, but this fill gives a rather convincing explanation of that, I think. It makes sense that Greece wouldn't be as concerned about "upholding his reputation" or getting laid the most like France more likely would and that he'd be willing to commit to a relationship that would make him happy. His relationship to Japan being portrayed in all its fluffiness here certainly doesn't hurt either (I wish I had a boyfriend like Greece, d'aww

Yes, I've done several of the Greece/Japan fills. The Heian era one and the midnight condom run one are the most recent, but the filling spree actually started sometime about Juneish. Memorial day, to be exact. It's one of the first pairings I started writing for when I came to Hetalia, but I hadn't gotten any kink meme fills done so it bugged me...so yeah, fixing that with a filling spree. I still have five or so more to go before I switch to another pairing, I think. (To keep myself from getting burned out or repetitive, heh

:O You've got about five more to go before you change pairings? That makes me deliriously happy, as Greece/Japan is my OTP and finding new fics/fills for them can become as rare as hen's teeth at times. (I'm trying to write some fills for them too, but I keep on running into writer's block, orz.)
I hope that you manage to get that other Greece/Japan fill worked out, as I'd love to read another well-researched fic on them.
I feel the same way about France/Canada; they're a pairing almost as adorable as Greece/Japan, but it'd take more believable development for France to commit to monogamy than for Greece. What you said about Greece makes complete sense. (And damn you for linking to TV Tropes; now my entire day will be gone before I know it!) Him having a lot of sex is just a minor trait of his, and isn't as important as his other personality traits; he's actually a surprisingly rounded character, especially for one that has a generally minor role in the comics.
Even in the infamous chapter, it looks like Japan's coming onto him

Well, there was fiveish on the queue at last count, but that was by no means a concrete number. In fact, I started a random campaign whilst archiving to fill as many of those unfilled character A/character b ones as well...and there's no saying if I might get inspired to do, so...
I promised it, so it's top priority...at least, if I can get it done before the birthday week wherein a friend and France have birthdays coming...
To me there always has to be a big issue with France giving up other people and he still flirts..he just screws one lover into the sheets after that XD
It took a second reading. I wish I could link it, but I don't have the comic handy. But seriously, Japan is leaning in towards Greece, blushing, noting his sexual prowess and saying he wished he was energetic...I think that's a total subtle!Japan come on.
Greece's money problems come from:
1. Spending all his money on Japan
(In a spoiling way, not because Japan asks)
and/or
2. Because he's not having enough sex
*GASP!*
