He spent the night running, crossing borders hoping he was entering a country where no 'princess hunter' was present, but he had no such luck. Near dawn he was caught, the pain and exhaustion of the previous transformations taking its toll. He could vaguely hear a scream, scaring the wolves away, before he was lifted up and carried somewhere, before darkness claimed him

Chapter 6: The beginning is near,… the beginning is here
Alfred and Arthur had walked awhile, already leaving the border of Gerfrancy far behind, Arthur blushing like no tomorrow, Alfred jogging like no tomorrow.
Deciding Alfred’s back wasn’t that uncomfortable, Arthur decided to catch some more sleep, preparing himself for the long night ahead.
Making sure not to bump Arthur’s head against a stray branch, Alfred jumped over all obstacles he met, and even some that weren’t on the path, Alfred happily making a detour to get more jumping possibilities.
“What’s the use of that?” “Having fun, of course.” “He’s not alone. What if he makes Arthur hit a tree?” “He won’t, he’s a hero.” “I don’t think that’s a good reason to trust him.” “Of course it is, heroes can always be trusted.” Blinding smileShake of

Arthur had already traveled there once, but then he wasn’t used as a riding animal, Francis going with him in a carriage so he could get a comfortable rest after a night full of running. Francis owed it to him for dragging him along. Back then, they only traveled by night, even when Arthur transformed into his bunny-form, because the carriage wasn’t big or strong enough to carry Arthur’s real cursed form.
“Maybe the curse works in another way on the author.” “I thought you dropped that subject when you knew Arthur’s real cursed form. You proved yourself wrong.” “I know, but don’t you find it strange she is describing him more, instead of just writing down ‘unicorn’?” “Honestly, I don’t care why she does one thing and not another. Maybe it’s to suit the air of mystery around his real form in the story itself.” “I don’t think so… I think the curse only lets her write down the word if there is no other alternative.” “I still can’t believe you think that, without actually believing in magic in real life.” “Why?”“Where do you think this

“I agree with Alfred, smoke depends on the ingredients used, not the user.” “What's wrong with her idea? It's not as if she's dooming the world.” “You don't know that. You never know what aliens have planned.” “She's not an alien.” deadpan “You never know.” shifty eyes “Why don't you ask Tony?” sarcasm. “I will” creaking of bed, opening of door, fading footsteps down the hall. 'This is ridiculous.' 5 minutes later “I'm out of here.” scraping of a chair, opening of door. Heavy footsteps, dejected look. “America, what is it?” forced back inside, forced back in the chair. “You were right.”
They reached the door and after they knocked, it was flung open, showing Gilbert in all his clothed glory

“Elizaveta, we're not together, we're here to gather information about my curse.” Arthur interrupted her waterfall of questions. “Why didn't you say so, England, I saved all information ever since you left with France.” She answered. “Stop calling me that, it doesn't exist, and don't make it sound as if I left you behind, we just ended our visit.”
“Why does she call you that? And who's France?” Alfred asked. “France is Francis and she calls us that because she read a myth once about countries having a personification and the pictures of those personifications look a lot like us. She calls herself 'Hungary', Roderich is 'Austria' and Gilbert is 'Prussia'.” Arthur explained. “Cool, who would I be?” Alfred asked excited. “No one, because they aren't real, have never been real and never will be real.” “Wrong, England, he would be America.” Elizaveta cut in.
Roderich had wisely left the room, playing some music a few rooms down, while Gilbert stayed, watching the emotions on Arthur's face go from one extreme to the other.

Whoo, nice long update! That's quite a lot of trials you have planned. Either this is going to be super epically long, or the trials are smaller/shorer then than what I'm thinking of.
Not OP, but I'd love to see all the trials, especially the small amusing ones. And lol, America's "distraction."
