Lithuania/Belarus, young teenagers. Natalia had just been rejected by Ivan again. But, being young, she took it more to heart this time. (This was when it was still in the innocent crush stage of how she felt for Russia.) Toris comforts his beloved Natalia. And... for once, she accepts it.

He flattened his back against the wall just adjacent to the roof's entrance door. He peeped his head through the small, circular glass pane to find a sulking Natalia, her pretty face hidden between her knees. Should he really do this? Natalia hated him, she really did, and yet, somehow, Toris couldn't help but think there was a chance. There was a chance to prove himself to her now. Feliks, wish me good luck! The doorknob spun a little fast as Toris nervously strolled out, trying to look as laid back as possible. His eyes quickly flickered over to Natalia, who still hadn't moved since Toris appeared. Oh, I just loved this story! LitBel's not even a favored pairing of mine (Lietpol's my OTP), but this was still so cute and realistic. Lithuania is soooo sweet and understanding, it makes me want to be his girlfriend not that I don't anyway, but still....
I think my favorite part was "And you keep trying. You try so hard, because you love them, and no matter how many times they tell you 'no' or to 'go away', you still love them. And that Natalia," He picked up a lock of her long, silky hair to spin between his fingers. "Makes you human." because he's no longer talking about her. He's talking about himself. That's why he uses the plural "them" and "they" in his explanation - he's avoiding specifying gender. I think it's very interesting how the two of them are in the same situation with love
