You know what? I would love a story where Alfred and Matthew are gods in Gaiman's Gods verse. Preferably shipping, with all of that duality that Gaiman is an absolute god in interweaving.

Bonuses: Matthew used to be the Canadian god of pre-battle contemplation and is now the god of pre-hockey game silence and Alfred is the god of government conspiracies (suave manipulating spy anyone?)
