What the Kids are Callin' it These Days

Politically, it was a smart move for Britain. And it wouldn’t hurt America either, which was kind of the point, really. The United States simply didn’t need the United Kingdom, and the latter needed to start focusing on fostering better relations within Europe. All in all, it made sense to announce the end of the Special Relationship.
Walking back from hearing the official statement, Britain’s prime minister felt a headache coming on. Arthur Kirkland had been holed up in his office all day, and he was worried the nation might be sulking. The MPs had been unconcerned, believing they were freeing their country from an unwieldy, outdated relationship with America. They assumed unflattering political ties translated to the interactions of countries’ physical representations.
Hearing them talk about the grand new development, England’s boss resigned himself to the thought that they had no idea. Even at their worst, the human versions of England and America seemed biologically incapable of staying away from each other. The prime minister

“These gentlemen have decided the Special Relationship is no longer beneficial to the United Kingdom.” A few men stepped back at the sheer contempt pouring off Mr. Kirkland. His eyelids fluttered a moment later and he glared wordlessly at America for ruining a perfectly good intimidation with the movement of his hand. Sadly, I didn't write the one you're talking about. But I loved it and it's sorta part of my head canon now, so it weasled its way into the story anyway. Hope the writer doesn't mind! D:

God, this is funny as hell. I thought Brown's internal monologue was going to be the funniest part, but then Brown just threw his MPs under the bus by telling England that it was their fault. A+, Brown.
I love everything about this fill; finally, another one to add to my "funny as hell" folder. XD
Captcha says "applaud place"; I'm not sure if it's applauding you, anon, or England and America. But either way, good job!
This was hilariousXDXDXDXD Also, it made me strangely sad that Brown is now gone from the UK government. That man had so much history and headaches with these two...
If I walked in this, I certainly wouldn't be thinking about leaving, let alone gladly...
Special relationship between UK and US is over, MPs say
But
what if they walk in on Alfred and Arthur having sex right after telling the media what they think about the "special relationship"?
