Fairytale time!

Anon would like to reqest a fairytale-type story with US/UK/US. But! England is the hero, with America as the damsel in distress. Anon is not opposed to genderswitching so America really is a princess, or any type of AU, but it'd be cool if it could somehow be in canon universe.
Bonus: Dragons! Extra bonus: Non-crack. I lovelovelove crack, really I do, so I don't mind cracky fills, but a serious storyline would be awesome.
First time requester, so plz somebody tell me if I screwed this up! DX

“In here, my Pet,” the wizard crooned, leaning in entirely too close to Alfred’s face. He didn’t have the strength to lean away. The wizard had led him on a long walk through the forest to a gargantuan black castle, and it had taken the little energy he had to get there

The girls burst into peals of laughter and hugged him. Alfred felt mildly uncomfortable.
Can we say understatement?? LOL poor Alfred, I can just see him sitting there with this crooked, nervous smile x'D
Can I tell you how much I'm loving this fill?? Seriously, I can't wait for when Alfred will have to go and eat dinner with the wizard (probably eat him out of house and home XD) and then Arthur comes to save the day with his EPIC MAGIC SPELLS and PWNS the evil wizard. Yep. :D -is ridiculously excited-
Oh my good gracious! I did not expect this to be filled so epically so soon!
Everlasting thank you's!
I...I...I don't have words. OP loves you to bits and pieces author!anon, because “But I’m a hero…” Alfred insisted, trying to sit up.
That right there! And the girls' silliness, and the mysterious wizard, and it's in the hetaliaverse, and....ugh. Yes! Thank you so much! You needn't worry over time between updates because this fill is going to be awesome, I can tell. 8D

I laughed so much with this! I liked the beginning, because who didn't want to do that? The loss of magic by kid!Alfred was lovely...it made me think that Arthur probably suffered this all his life, the older nations believed once...and one day stopped believing, and only he kept goingXD
The princesses are so amusingly obnoxious, naive and annoying!XD Poor Al, you're gonna be rescued by your own knight in shining armor with brushy eyebrows and a scowl...and you'll have to apologize for not believing in magic! xD I liked how very modern in his concerns Alfred was, with his "has he done...anything to you?" and of course, nothing hardcore's happened, since it's a fairytaleXD

Arthur opened his eyes slowly, rubbing his head as he sat up. He was lying on the cobblestones of some old city, and he could see the thatched rooves of houses rising up on either side of him. There was shouting and the everyday bustle of a busy town going on around him

“Alfie! You should wear this!” Rose said, pulling a red tunic and tights out of the wardrobe. Bluebell bumped her out of the way with a hip and waved a very similar navy outfit

"Yes. Princesses often get kidnapped. They tend to grow out of it when they become Queen’s though," I knew you were awesome, but I didn't know you were also hilarious! Seriously, my parents hate you because my laughter at things like this (and the prince's name and the different meanings of "gay") woke them up in the dead of night. Because, really, I was laughing and joyful the whole time!
However, I think you are great and I can't wait for more updates! Please, have whatever reward you wish, anon. *showers with love and goodies!*

There's so much humorous dialogue, I would quote some, but I think the list would get too long.
Poor Alfred, dressed in the gayer version of the American (and UK, French and Russian) flag and being forced to listen to women talk about shoe shopping and the like. Somehow I don't think Arthur will fare much better once he meets the rest of those princes...
I have to agree with OP, it's nice to see something like this in canon verse. I shall be here F5ing dear authornon.

God, I love parodies of traditional fairytalesXDXDXD
Alfred being the princess is amusing, and dressing 'gay' *snort* I laughed so much in that part
Arthur, on the contrary, seems to be faring well, after a rocky start (we're bound to see the ox man sooner or later again, after all, this is a taleXD). The blandly handsome prince made me lol as much as the annoying princesses...

“Prince Quartz,” he said suavely.
“Quartz, right. That’s a name. My name is Arthur.”
“Excellent! Come Arthur! Follow my steed.” The man swung back up onto his horse, and began to trot off down the street with Arthur hurrying after him.
(Stupid word limitations...)
