Anon remembers reading about a young girl praying to God she didn't want to go to school the night before that. Why the heck isn't this part of the Canadian history curricular anyhow?

Ah, the Halifax Explosion, one of the many reasons my Hetalia OTP is actually Nova Scotia/Massachusetts/Nova Scotia. ♥
OP, 1) Do you mind OCs? The focus would definitely stay on Canada and the US, it just seems odd not to have a few mentions of Nova Scotia, since the Explosion was in the middle of NS's vital regions and it seems it's been relegated to "local history." 2) Is the glass-in-eyes a requirement or a bonus? I have an eye squick, and there are so many other possible ways to hurt Matthew - falling buildings, tsunami, shrapnel, explosive force on an exposed arm... 3) Do you have a preference for the NA bros to just be bros or in a relationship/UST?
So many questions. @_@

1) I don't really care for OCs, but if you think that it would help the story along I think I can handle it, as long as it still focuses on the Canada/US relationship. 2) I've read that the most common wound of the explosion was from flying glass to the eyes, But if it quicks you, you can think of another part of his body that got hurt that can symbolize Halifax and get a scar from it, that would be awesome. 3) I would fucking love some NA bros UST
