In which Spain isn't a pedophile...

Exactly what the title says. Spain/S. Italy.
Spain taking a consenting somewhat older S. Italy's virginity.
Children in Spain in the middle ages were betrothed and wed often as soon as they hit puberty (the girls at least), so Spain sees nothing wrong with taking S. Italy as his "betrothed." But because he's so young, he tells innocent, grumpy, little South Italy that he will wait until he's ready.
Spain somehow figures out that Romano is ready to take things a step further (how it happens is completely up to anon) and Spain is a very passionate lover while taking Romano's virginity. Be creative, anons. I'm dying for some sort of real character interaction between the two.
How old Romano is at this point is up to the author, but it has to be a reasonable age of consent. No shota or non-con and any side pairings or kinks are fine.

This was one of the best Spain/Romano fics I saw in this meme (and I read a lot of them :). I loved the historical references and the fluffiness and characterization and everything!

Well, I'm really glad that it got such a good response. I read lots of Spamano, too, so I figured I'd try them out. Thanks so much for leaving a comment!
Oh, this was very very lovely, anon. So sweet and heartbreaking and hot.
I could tell you were very dedicated about the historical setting, I didn't catch any mistake. The Italian is ok too (Romano's Italian cursing always makes me crack up) - I think you mixed up Italian and Spanish in one line, but it may have been done on purpose.
The characterization was spot on, Spain was so sweet, the long wait for Romano's letters and for him coming home was really romantic... Thanks for the nice read, anon! ♥
Also I was trying to write this, but I have lots of other stuff to write so the fact that you took this prompt off my hands and gave it such a lovely fill makes me really happy.
XD Thanks so much for taking the time to write all that. I appreciate the support SO MUCH - seriously, I was very nervous about posting this. Err... yeah, I knew the language!fail would hit; would you mind pointing out where that was? And sorry for stealing the prompt~~ but thanks again for reviewing and I'm really happy that you enjoyed it.
D'awww! Thank you anon. Your Romano is very tsundere, emphasis on the dere, and your Spain is just lovely in the way he fought for Romano and protected him, even from himself (yay history tidbits!). But talk about UST on Romano's part! Haha he was frustrated there toward the end. The love making scene was a nice combination of hot and endearing at the same time. Again, thank you anon. ^_^
I'm so, so glad that you liked it. Your prompt was lovely and absolutely begged to be filled. Thank you for taking time to tell me what you thought! I'm sure we will see more of each other (anonymously....) ^^

<3 Th-that was so beautiful I almost cried.
Ahhh, uh...I'm at a loss for words. I love the way you wrote Spain and Romano. And I was entertained by the fact that you wrote "peoplenationshumans" as a word into the story, but I don't know why.
I also enjoyed little gems like this: "In the morning, the chamberlain that was sent to find them was very confused." It's such a sweet, serious, straightforward story that I looked twice at that. I definitely didn't expect that random line of humor.
I'm now going to go back to basking in that nice warm happy feeling this gave me. <3 Please write more, anon~!! You're absolutely amazing!
Wow... thank you SO much. That was very nice of you to say, and I'm glad it made an impact on you. I think this is the work I'm most proud of, to date, and I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time to drop me a line, and yes, watch for me in the future!

Bonus but not necessary:
- Multiple orgasms on Romano's part.
