"You're probably the worst person in the world," England mused calmly, taking another sip of his wine. He wasn't particularly surprised that France knew (and was even less surprised that he was being an ass), since Canada had almost certainly told the other nation. The real question was how many other countries had France told, and would strangling him make England feel better about it all

"It is our business, actually," France said, leaning forward and steepling his fingers. There was none of the laughing hedonist left in his expression. His eyes were hard, his expression serious and more than a little ruthless, and for a moment England was looking at the nation that had been his mortal enemy for a century, who had nearly killed him a dozen times over

Hell yes, I accidentally clicked on the wrong bookmark and found that you'd started posting this sequel. <3 Finally, my inability to use a mouse pays off. ^_^;
I'm glad that you're continuing England's point-of-view in the sequel; I think it's going to turn out to be a much more interesting and suspenseful perspective than America's would have, and it really let me enjoy the dynamics between England and France. Which were, er, interesting, in light of recent events. :'D It's interesting to see both France's concern for England and for the political ramifications of everything that England has finally discovered, but it's even more interesting to see how England is changing. Although this made me just crack up: He'd gained a sudden understanding for people who gave their guns names. I've seriously lived in Texas for too long; I'd forgotten that not everyone does nutty things like that. ORZ

*fangirls and flails all over the place* Oh my goodness, YES. The way France just casually mentioned bunkers gave me chills. And the whole "I didn't escape" thing killed my soul because it really does make a difference that he didn't escape. I'm imagining the literally fallout if he had escaped, or worse, physically wounded America and ugh... *wince* That would be beyong bad.

omg, so did not regret reading this. I feel so bad for Arthur, in his position - so torn for Alfred and yet at the same time just couldn't bear the thought of him going insane. Arghhhhh.
thank you anon for the sequel! will anxiously wait for it omg.
is it too much to hope that it'll be a good ending? D8

The walk back was, if not pleasant, than at least not terrible. France did most of the talking, remarking on how everyone in England was unfashionable, even the dogs. England spent most of his time glancing around surreptitiously, hoping France didn't notice

England's dreams were, as usual, disjointed and strange. It was all flashes of memory, dark corners and distorted noises. Only a few things stood out, bright against the haze.
America was in armor, holding a sword and shield with the Cross of St. George. His eyes were soft and vulnerable, his smile open. England could see something huge moving in the mists around him, hear growling and smell sulfur

o.O This anon is speechless... On how Author!non show England's dream is to how England take his gun and pointed it to America. Somehow, even while reading this... this anon can feel the creepiness that emanated from America even when he didn't act that much... yet. This anon is happy that her efforts to look at this everyday is not fruitless. <3 This anon will wait happily for the continuation~
