Author's Note: Well here it is the last flashback chapter (well not counting a planned missing scene I'll be including when I de-anon). There are most likely 2 chapters and maybe an epilogue left in the story as a whole give or take depending on how long things get and perhaps an epilogue of some sort. I have been working on this story since September...I can't believe anyone is still with me out there...thanks to those of you who still are ( ... )

"I know," America said with a slightly proud smile. "He's been doing that since he arrived. He speaks English and his native languages just as well and also some Spanish." Russia nodded at that and looked thoughtful. "France has been teaching him French when he visits," America continued. "He didn't know it when they started but he's picking it up quite quickly. He also knows a lot of the history of this place...some I didn't even know from when it was just you here in the early days ( ... )

What followed was an hour and a half of him continuously falling on his butt as he tried not to make a complete fool of himself and failing miserably. He finally settled himself onto the ground and entertained himself by making half snow angels and tiny snowman armies. They, on the other hand, jumped and played in the snow drifts like they were born to. He supposed they had been in a way their lands were covered in snow for so much of the year. He had snow too and he enjoyed it to a point but winter had never been his favorite season and he doubted it ever would be. At some point they got together and conspired against him leading him to be barraged with snowballs until he could make enough to throw them back ( ... )

America mulled over Russia's words. He knew there was truth if them but he still couldn't quite rid himself of the fear that Russia might use this take Sasha from him. He frowned and then nodded. "Alright...but..." he said after another moment of thought. "You have to give me advance warning. He'll most likely be with me anyway so I'll need to get him back to Alaska for your arrival. I'll do it as soon as you let me know you want a visit," he hurried to explain as Russia looked ready to argue. "But you have to give me warning in case I'm in the middle of something...important. Once he's old enough I'll show him how to travel by himself and he'll be here by himself more often but not before he's ready. I don't want him to feel abandoned..." not like I did, he added silently to himself. He'd forgiven England for a lot and he now knew why England had been gone more then he was around but it still hurt to think about all those long months, years sometimes, he'd gone without seeing his guardian he did not want to see Sasha feel ( ... )

"Uh...fine then..." he stumbled slightly in confusion. He had not expected Russia to agree with him so readily. "If there is anyone on my side that you do not wish him to be around now would be the time to tell me ( ... )

You updaaatttteeedddd~~~~~ ♥♥♥

I love this fill so much it hurts, anon!! I can't begin to tell you how excited I was when I first saw this on the fills page. But gosh, I LOVED the awkward family dynamic between the three and the visitation rights. I knew there was going to be terms to settle, and it went much better than I expected. I may have to go and re-read the last two parts, since its been a while.

F5ing and officially camping out!! :D

Awww....thank you I'm glad you're enjoying it so much and that I caught that awkwardness as well as I was hoping.

Don't spend too much time F5ing...next part probably won't be out until the end of June... ;-)

Hallelujah, you are still with us!

Man, after seeing some good fills stopping before the end and not updated for so many months, I was afraid this fill would be the case but I'm incredibly grateful that you are still chugging along.

Your fill, among the others, is just the best. I just love the details and the length you pour into this fill and the interaction between Russia and America. Not quite fluff, not quite hate, it's juuuuuust right! And I love your flashbacks, man.

Thank you so much for your dedication on this fill. You have no idea how your update brightened up this stranger's day.

-sloppy kisses-

recaptcha: snow chanute... o_O Apparently Chanute is a city in Kansas... so Russia's gonna be there for the sunflowers with snow following him?

Thank you! I'm glad that you are still with me!

Don't worry...it may take far longer to get out those last couple of chapters then it should but this thing *will* be finished, it will.

Finding that middle ground has been important to me especially in these parts written during the Cold War. And yeah it's not quite hate but not quite love and a healthy amount of UST thrown in for color. Of course this is all happening before the Cuban Missle Crisis I imagine things got a lot more...strained between them for a long while after that.

**You have no idea how your update brightened up this stranger's day.**

*flushes* awww....thank you! Your comment does the same.

OMG I LOVE THIS FIC SO SO MUCH ♥ ♥ ♥
I like how...normal, nationhood aside, this all is, you're addressing every point in taking care of a child by strained parents, in a very thorough and IC manner, and I'm enjoying the conversations way too much. Custody battles are a rela nightmare, but they are being unexpectedly mature and concessive...

Russia is so great here, has all the cunning and usual darkness, but there's a softness in him...and America, of course. The domestic scenes felt like pang when I realised they weren't really ready to go into them head-on, even if it's clear they both want to. I felt like tearing out my hair at the end...or better yet, THEIR hair...good god, guys, I could feel the sexual tension even from the other side of ths screen...I wanted them to go to bed together so badly...is this flashback going to continue till the end of Russia's stay? might there be a chance that the following days will bring them to each other's bed again?
have they gone to bed together since Sasha was 'conceived', or was that the ( ... )

Oh, I hadn't seen this fill before, and despite me not liking OC usage, I decided to give it a try, and... It was good, and I liked their interaction! I even liked your Alaska, and that means a lot to me!
The RuAme is proceeding well, too, and it's a pleasure to see how well you describe both, and don't rush things through. I can't wait to see how this goes on, so please, great anon, continue!

Oh my...thank you for taking a chance on the story and on Sasha. As a general rule I'm not big on OCs either I've gotten used to them in the fandom but I still prefer the main characters. Sasha is the first OC I've written and I doubt I'll be writing many more of them but I had fun with him. I tried to learn from all the things I don't like about OCs and make Sasha an important part of the story without taking it over.

Thanks again, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
