OP basically called for Germany/Spain, with anything. And so I've come up with Quiet Literature Thursdays in which they talk very little about literature but consume lots of cake to compensate. Lots of cake.

He throws his arms over the back of the chair, easing into a casual lean. "But you're probably having a good time with Italy, right? I'd think so; he's cute just like Roma! Plus," He smiles broadly, "he's exactly the type to make you breakfast in bed

I loved this for a variety of reason, including the different critical interpretations (...and now I figure that Spain is where Argentina took his weird literary streak from, isn't it? Or it might be vice-versa).
The cake sounded very nice, the coffee smelled good, and the discussion was satisfying - overall, a very fulfilling fill. ♥

Uwwah I loved it, Anon. Aside from being amazingly (for a fanfiction, anyway) brainy, literary, and thoughtful, it managed to be very cute. And your characterization is effortless. I especially adore Spain. He's really quite intelligent and has produced many works of art and culture, and while portraying that you stayed true to his lazy, easygoing, cheerful roots.
There were a few phrases that caused confusion (One finger on his sun-burnt lips, his fingers remain on cup, for example), but if you picked up a beta these things would be easily caught.

Ooh, I really liked this! I really liked that you knew when to end it and it didn't plod for a zillion chapters, which can be really difficult to pull off. There needs to be more fic like this. I hope to see more fills like this from you, anon!

You know, something about the whole idea of 'Quiet Literature Thursdays' just makes this fill win before it's even begun <3
I like how Germany and Spain interact here, and as a former lit student, the way they discuss literature pleases me a lot <33 Then you add in little details like the cake (which, I have to admit, inspired me to go and get a piece of cake myself XD) and how the conversation gets a little...off-track at the end...it's all just perfect and IC, especially how Spain is actually intelligent when it comes to the arts (because he would be)
In short, this is well-written and has wonderful characterisation. Good job, anon!

I find this really interesting.
I'm Mexican and such surrounded heavily by Spanish Literature, what amazed me though is how Spain's feelings portray my exact feelings about written works. Did you write Spain as a post-modernist with some sort of knowledge about Spanish-language literature being analyzed that way in Spanish-speaking countries? or did you just choose it randomly?
