Three days later, he woke to the news that in a surprise Taiwan was now definitively part of China--under the People's Republic. So she really was coming back to the house, though in sympathy he imagined bruises from the inevitable riots and protests. Although really, they had both claimed to be China, the country, somehow this conclusion to the decades of struggles simply felt odd. But why had he not heard about this earlier? And evidently several most other nations had not either

Congratulations on firstfilling! Wouldn't have guessed it if you hadn't said so. I don't see how you could have made it greatly to do with history if it was to be future-fic ;3;

As a Taiwanese person, I feel deep sorrow for the future AU, and I also feel the deep resentment that she feels after being thrown out... *囧
