[Political note: I'm not using the term "Ulster"; England is. The question of what group, exactly, a personification represents, is one I'm avoiding with all my might.]

Wait, if they had a dinner of takeaway vindaloo, then why the hell does England have chips? XD I mean, way to combine the two dishes I think of when I think of England, but ... What the hell, England?

I should probably have seen that discussion on the Empire coming from a mile away, but it hit me in all the right places, and the way you used it to reflect England's character - and the way you used it to reflect the difficult affection between Wales and England here - is gorgeous.
