Communist France, possible Russia/France?

There were some communists helping out the Resistance during the Nazi Invasion and the French Communist Party was one of the few that actually aligned to the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. In short, France was at some point interested in becoming one with Russia a some point. Now, there were steps taken to prevent France from becoming communist, but what if they didn't work?

In short, France becomes one with Russia.
