England's brain stuttered to a halt. Kissing wasn't-- it wasn't part of the routine. A little bit of touching, fine; a little unorthodox in this kind of situation, but fine. Kissing? No one kissed when they sealed alliances, except-- but he hadn't been allied with the man in so long, he barely remembered.
He wasn't sure, but he thought that Russia kissed very differently from France or Spain. Slowly, patiently, no teasing or teeth. He was sure he'd been kissed like this before, he just wasn't sure when. Tired and aching, he couldn't bring himself to miss France's electricity, Spain's energy. Even Prussia's snort of disgust couldn't dampen his-- well, his enjoyment.

Thanks so much for the review! (and yes, Prussia is about twelve years old in his mind. It makes sense-- he's only been a sovereign state for about a hundred years by now.)
Portugal-- I wrote a fill that alluded to him (her, in that case), but as the parenthetical comment indicates, I actually like to write her as a girl (we don't have enough girls in Europe, and besides...) Would it ruin it for you if there were a chick in your Treaty of Paris foursome?

Russia headcannon: I actually see him as being pretty empathic-- doesn't he seem weirdly sensitive sometimes? He really does want people to be happy. He just has NO IDEA how to make that happen (and as such tends to hurt a lot of people instead [USSR in a nutshell?]) Except in bed, he does know what to do, so he's really good at adapting to what the people around him want. England wants big and safe, he's big and safe; Prussia wants dominating, he's dominating. The reason he comes off as so bipolar here is that he's trying to adjust to two different people (oh man, the Entente...)
