Oh god, I'm so sorry T_T Authornon fails SO hard.
“Later” never came. Instead, they returned to the house and stocked the cupboards with the food that Arthur had gathered. Alfred had tried to help, but Arthur had pushed him away and insisted that he was in the way. He carefully arranged the food while Alfred watched, and tried to ignore how Alfred would move his chair closer every so often.
After Arthur filled the cupboards, he went to the living room and began a search for seeds that he remembered leaving in one of the drawers centuries before. Of course, he couldn't remember which drawer he had left them in. He cursed under his breath, and ignored that Alfred was hovering over his shoulder and watching his every move

“I wanted to try it!” Alfred said, and he shoved a few pieces of the plant into his mouth. He turned his head away so that he didn't have to see Arthur's glare, and exaggerated his chewing. Arthur stared at him in disbelief and disgust, and Alfred grinned. Arthur returned to chopping the plants with new enthusiasm, and Alfred stuck out his tongue

Arthur never noticed the passage of time. He went through the small garden and tilled the ground with his hands, and made uneven rows for the seeds. He pressed the seeds into the ground, keeping them close enough to the surface to prevent them from dying before they could sprout. He must have spent hours moving the earth and arranging the rows perfectly, and he sat back when the envelope was finally empty to look at his work.
Arthur was impressed with his work. He felt a sense of accomplishment and pleasure at the fact that he had created something. There were no gardens in the clouds; he had never had anything to create, and had been left to read books and listen to stories. Creating life was so different, and so fulfilling.
Arthur didn't feel like moving. He only wanted to look at the garden, bare and dark, but full of life and potential.
Until something fell on him, and Arthur ended up sprawled out on the ground.
Arthur yelped and thrashed, and didn't hear the panicked cries around him. He only knew that something was on top of
