...I did this in response to a request for "If the US had become Communist instead of Russia in 1917" but then I saw that the request still specified that the Cold War still played out. In this one, it doesn't... because I figured out that instead of in response to a Czar's policies, the revolution would be an extension of American isolationism, in response to the budding military/industrial complex. Pretty much, America hates foreign wars and the only way to stop getting involved with them is to stop supplying arms, to close everything off, because it only results in weaponsmakers getting rich and their sons going off to war
