Germany stirred his Kartoffelsuppe one cold March morning as he pondered about his next move. Flowers seem to work well on France--just as he'd expected, but he knew he had to do better than that. He needed something else, he knew it.

He looked up at his brother who was slurping his soup loudly. It was one of their rare visits to each other since the wall was put up. Prussia would know what France likes, right? They had been friends before and he had much more experience with everything.

He cleared his throat and focused on his soup. "Ost," he started, feeling uneasy, "What would be the most romantic thing in the world for you?"

Prussia looked up with quirked eyebrows, stopping in middle-slurp. "Why? Who's asking?"

Germany blushed. "I'm asking."

His older brother put down his bowl. "West, I know I'm extremely awesome and all, but we're brothers"No!" Germany exclaimed in outrage. "I was thinking of someone else ( ... )

Germany stood up. "Happy Birthday, Frankreich." He offered him a bouquet of red roses.

"A-Allemagne...what is all...this?" he asked, if only to make sure before he calls America. He took the bouquet.

The taller nation blushed. "It is a beer fountain flowing with the finest quality of Schwarzbier around," he said rather proudly. "I know you're very fond of coffee so I chose the one that tastes closest to it." He smiled warmly and looked into France's eyes. "It is my gift to you."

A beer fountain. A beer fountain. France didn't know whether to smile or to forcefully remove it from his wonderful garden. He had somehow hoped in the deeper recesses of his mind that it was a coffee fountain instead. "I-It's...It's...It looks nice, Allemagne ( ... )

Schwarzbier --- France's training bra beer. :D It does not at all taste like coffee in my opinion. Hahaha

La dame de fer - nickname for Eiffel tower meaning the iron lady Margaret Thatcher or Angela Merkel jokes are welcome

Kartoffelsuppe - Potato soup

Southernanon asked, and I did forget to put it up so here it is:

Yes, it was a dastardly thing for him to do, but it was the only way he knew to make France look at the pictures objectively. Fact is, he could have just handed them to France and actually made it look like Germany and Italy really were in a secret affair. (England has had a history of black propaganda against Germany, this thing would be nothing to him if he wanted to) But he didn't, because as said in the 7th chapter, he wanted France to stick with him because he wanted to, and not out of spite for Germany. If their relationship really was as stable as it seemed, this minor incident would not have escalated into this. France would have known about it eventually--even without England's help. He only sped up the ( ... )

D'awwwwww, this was ADORABLE!!!!
Germany was so...omg, huggable here! So damned cute <3<3<3 His reactions are even more amusing ebcause they're totally honest and heartfeltXD

Prussia, you assholeXD so...are they together in this? I didn't really get that...or is Germany trying to pursue him? But...you said he fell in love with France during the Second World War...he waited till the 90s to make his move? But if he didn't, how come Prussia didn't know they were together? though compared to poor Italy's four centuries of waiting for HRE, waiting 50 years is nothing...

Ah, France was really cute too, sparing Germany's feelings...I wonder, did Germany ever realise what's going on with the "allergy" thing? I really liked that clenching of France's heart when he thinks of England /*shot*

And the explanation you gave about England's actions...bawwww!!! The fact that he wanted France to stay with him out of choice makes it even sadder...

About Prussia and Germany, it says: "It was one of their rare visits to each other since the wall was put up", so I guess it could be anytime after 1961...?

Oh, of course, beer fountain. Sigh, Ludwig need to really KNOW his boyfriend. Le sigh.

But crackish comedy? I blame it on your HILARIOUS Ivan/Yao/Alfred. I absolutely adore their mean streak! Something about those two always struck me as being cruelly childish (in a not-necessarily-violent way). And primary-school-antic!Alfred? Pure GOLD, I tell ya.

Write more~ And thanks for your fill!
