Lithuania comforts America

I was reading the CIA World Factbook entry on Lithuania and it went on and on about how about how Lithuania is a very staunch supporter of the US. Lithuanians that I've talked to online seem to have a much better opinion of Americans on average than other Europeans, too. So I'd like to see something set in modern times where, although America has allies on paper, no one really likes him and he has no friends. Cue America venting his frustrations over being friendless to Lithuania and thinking that Lithuania doesn't like him either, and Lithuania surprising him by comforting him and assuring him that he likes him a lot.

"…Hey. You still there?"
America swallowed, clenching the phone tighter and nodding even though Liet couldn't see. But the Baltic knew, and America could have sworn he heard the friendly smile he received in return. The connection they had established over the decades never ceased to surprise him, and, on more than one occasion, bring him just the relief he needed.
"Look…I know it's hard. I'm always worried about you, America, and you've done so much for me in the past. You mean a lot to me, so...please don't doubt that."
"But," America choked, "everyone else is fucking--"
"I know…and they don't know what they're missi--"
"How can you know?! We never get to visit anymore, you're stuck over there, and--and God, you probably hate me, too! Fuck, all of Europe does, so why the fuck not

Wait, there are nations besides the Philippines and Estonia that don't view the USA with hatred/disdain/contempt/etc.? ... Good to know! (I mean, I knew we never recognized Lithuania's "incorporation into the USSR and Lithuanian-Americans did everything they could to see their motherland independent and a part of NATO, but ... they haven't started hating us yet? Badass. :D)

Oh, they are adorable. And Liet's got enough of his own problems, he's such a dear to help a friend in need. And Al does need some positive attention here and there whether or not he deserves it, or he's just gonna wither.
Though I don't think Lithuania would think of himself as "Liet." That's just Poland's nickname for him.
And you should get this up in the fills list, so people know it's here.
