Oh god, I decided to take a crack at this because it burrowed into my head and wouldn't let go. Finish it today, then I thought OpenOffice ate the last 500 words of it, so I had a minor freak out. Anon was thankfully wrong and only had to re-write the last few sentences. (It'll have an actual REAL title when I de-anon it later, I swear.)
