He swallowed as if they were pills, each coin sliding down his throat slicked with Coca Cola. Pennies, nickels, dimes, even quarters, America loved the taste, even more than his hamburgers, and it was rare to see the excitable nation without one in his hand. The truth was America only started eating hamburger after hamburger so he could lay off the money

“Are you serious? That’s really awesome! I know how hard you’ve been trying and everything!” Beaming at his friend, America raised his glass in a toast. “To you, Russia, and to-to-“Trailing off, America felt his ears burn as Russia watched with amusement. “To being awesome!”
“Very well,” Russia raised his vodka bottle in the toast. “To being awesome.” At which he tipped back the vodka bottle as America tried to come up with another topic. “Since America did one, I wish to propose a toast as well.”
“Really? Well, shoot.”
“To you, America.” Pausing, Russia held the eyes of America,, with an indefinable gaze that make America feel strange but warm. “And to friendship, untainted by frost.” At this, Russia tipped his bottle back yet again. America watched as Russia swallowed, the bob of Russia’s throat as he swallowed the vodka.
“Hear hear,” muttered America as he also drank.
The nickels slid down his throat and added to the warm pit at the bottom of America’s stomach, but for the moment it wasn’t an issue.

No! This is exactly what I wanted! Its awesome anon! It seems so realistic. Not to depressive or too happy. It was very much like you were writing a normal part of their recovery and theres even some hope thrown in there. The atmosphere was great all throughout! I esp. liked how the coins and paper money was described.

No! This is exactly what I wanted! Its awesome anon! It seems so realistic. Not to depressive or too happy. It was very much like you were writing a normal part of their recovery and theres even some hope thrown in there. The atmosphere was great all throughout! I esp. liked how the coins and paper money was described. Russia's addiction was also described well.
