“That’s none of your business,” Victoria protested, but she was already resigned to the fact that the strange man and his pretty blue eyes were unaccustomed to taking no for an answer. And as loath as she was to admit it, he was taking her mind off of…. Her situation. So perhaps she would allow him to continue a bit longer

Before she could reply, he laughed and suddenly ducked behind the tree. Victoria started after him, shouting “Now wait a minute-” but the mysterious man was gone, his laugh merely an echo in the small grove

GAH! EPIC FILL AHOY!!! *_* Seriously, I squealed when I saw this had a fill. ♥ I'm actually not crazy about Rome being the villain. Then again, that might just be my Russia-bias talking. XD Looks like I'll be outvoted anyway. *shrugs*
Considering how great the prologue was, I'm sure whoever you choose will be amazing in their role. ;D

Before she’d left, Antonio had ribbed her for being able to carry all of her belongings on her horse with her. Real ladies, he’d said, had baggage trains stretching for miles, and hundreds of servants to carry their fabulous possessions, si? Victoria had retorted that if he was so concerned with them he should give a teary-eyed farewell to some of those ladies, instead of bawling during her final moments with her family and completely ruining her mood. Antonio could be so emotional sometimes

No, the elaborate cornices weren’t impressive. Neither were the slightly damaged stained glass windows she could just discern as they got closer. And the most definitely-not-impressive was the huge, dark oak door, several times Victoria’s height, which dominated the front of the building

“Oh-” Victoria was startled. If Lord Williams’ attitude was anything to go by, he had absolutely no interest in her. But the man’s face creased with relief when the butler spoke out, slumping a little in his chair.
“Yes. Fr- Mr. Bonnefoy is right. We just- well…” Lord Williams scratched the back of his head, and stood. Victoria took in the long lines of his legs, the sharp slope of his shoulders. “…Would an hour be enough time to prepare?”
That made the butler make a little snerk noise, which Victoria probably would have been more amused by if she didn’t have a vague, growing terror building up in the pit of her stomach. “Ah, Matthieu,” he purred, and Victoria wondered vaguely whether it was appropriate for him to call his master by his first name. “Miss Kirkland here is a lady! Perhaps two hours is in order

Above is supposed to be 1c/?…“Quiet! He’s changing next door, you idiot!” Victoria whispered furiously, jerking on his arm in an attempt to get him to shut up. “And in case you’d forgotten, the man with the bloody title is the one who paid for our estate

If you don't keep it a happy ending I'll cry, it'd just kill me to have such a great story and it end on a tragic note ;A;
As for villain, I'm gonna say Germany or Turkey for the bad guy. They seem like they fit.
