I understood how this was sweet (the way you wrote it IS sweet) but its also surprisingly dark

Russia wants to /break/ America enough that America is no longer his strong willed, bold and blunt self. Russia wants to make America into an innocent thing that clings to its master and giggles while whisper sweet words at him. ;-; I wonder is this during the Cold War? Regardless I am on America's side on this and hope he wins (sequelsequelsequel).

Very nicely done btw not that many can make something so dark and /sad/ seem so nice and sweet and not creepy ^^;

Like anon above me, I was thrilled and perhaps disturbingly more turned on by the darkness lurking here; Russia's desires are sweet in appearance, but he wants to destroy everything America has made himself into, what he has chosen to become; in a way, it's very fitting that the USSR wants to project its own fantasies and desires on what America should be, in his opinion; and the fact that Russia lets it hint that he came just to take him (wherever he, Russia, wanted, and of course always topping, as he remarks that he "had no intention of being the one against the dirt, he never was"). And the fact that he called himself "his (America's) controlling country", points to the fact that America has become no more than a sex commodity, he's become what Russia wanted for Russia's pleasure (in fact, apparently Russia's forbidden him to have any other partner or anyone else form touching him, as it makes him tighter). That's...practically what Nazi Germany did with France. And it's brilliant

Holy long comments Batman >///< I'm really glad you enjoyed this and that you got it. I have a feeling that during the time he was the USSR he wasn't exactly able to have a completely healthy relationship, especially with the one he was fighting against. And since this is his fantasy land this is what he wants with none of the compromise that would actually have to exsist. But I think he really does love America, he just thinks he knows what's best and imagines him as kind of a pet as well as lover and that doesn't really work out to anything healthy. (that's also why Russia doesn't want anyone else touching him because America is HIS)
A major part of my headcannon is the Bloody Sunday were he kills people that aren't behaving. I feel like that heavily carried into the USSR era. Also he's comparing an America who was his friend and totally willing to play tag with him through the field to a paranoid enemy so his perception is a little messed up.

I agree with the two anons above me, but my favorite parts were Russia's views that he is saving America from himself, in a way. (At least, that'a how I took the "smoke and metal corrupted him" part), as well as the last line. Because that's like serious hypocrisy right there; calling America greedy but desiring his land and his submission and his loyalty even to the point of love, though as stated before he seems to just be a sex toy to Russia.
