[Part 15] America/England, broken heart anonymous January 18 2011, 03:15:25 UTC
Orig. request: http://hetalia-kink.livejournal.com/18439.html?thread=62032135#t62032135

I would like to see England being heart broken over America's separation during the Revolution. England couldn't take the pain anymore so he carved his heart out to get rid of the heart ache. England hid his heart in a place only he would know but over the years England has forgotten where his heart was hidden. (In my mind the nations are sort of immortal so having a vital organ removed won't kill them.) Years later America comes back to England and wants to start a relationship him. But because England doesn't have a heart, so all of America's attempts at wooing fails. Once America discovers the truth, he goes on a quest to find England's heart ( ... )

Okay, I swear there will be some actual substance to this story eventually!! I hope OP (and others) find this somewhat enjoyable so far <3. AND I hope other anons fill this request because I am not doing it any justice so far orz

Bitten ShyWhat you hear, when a shell is pressed to your ear, is not the sea. It is you. It is old love, the kind that lies in the bones too long. It is the magic of the Sidhe ( ... )

France is poison. He comes to England after, drunk off the demimonde and someone else's victory, and gloats while England has no energy to fight back. France burns a hole through him. Drains him empty. Something happens, once England starts into his Aladdin's cave of liquor.

He vaguely remembers the ceiling. Oak beams with Roman numerals carved deep. He focuses on how France feels, and not himself.

His heart hurts.

England stays locked up till his clothes start to hang off his bones. The fae burn the lamps, pull back the curtains and the bed covers. They nibble and fidget till England is out of bed. But they cannot unlock the door, where England keeps the key around his neck.

They are sick of seeing him sick. These four walls are killing him, slowly. Albion, you are a shell. Albion, you have no heart, no sea. No sound.

The Queen is worried.Titania is in his dreams, to cut the heart from the body; to cut the weakness of man from the immortal. She edges into his waking, and stays there, the thought rooted beneath his temples ( ... )

Damn, I love your writing style and lovely descriptions; your style feels disjointed and really detached, which is perfect for this prompt. And I love your creepy amoral fae; very fairytale. And the way England is ignoring the morals of every fairytale in which is human (or whoever) accepts help from the fae? Yeah, that seems really in character for England, especially in his desperation.

Cool title! :D

*claps gleefully* This was amazing and beautiful. I love the fairytale elements, the repeating shell motif. Everything's very dreamlike. I love it all. And oh, Arthur, you poor broken thing.

Am definitely going to follow this fill from now on. :D

This is simply gorgeous. Guh, the imagery, your writing style... just ah, I love it to pieces.

Also, I think I might have read some of your other stuff and, if they were you, you're one of my favourite authors.

I'm legit crying, A!A. Real tears streaming down my face and oh my dear Lord, this is so beautiful that it hurts. It physically hurts because you wove everything so well and there's magic and pain and love and oh God, there's naval glory and I'm rambling.

OMG. Those poetic lines [I especially love this line: England is born on...a mother's death . Another line I like is 'The Queen is worried'. For a moment, I thought, 'Elizabeth', but of course, I forgot that she's dead by the time America revolted]! I'm weak at the knees for them. I love the disjointed lines, and the recurring theme of sea shell. The use of sounds, and colours in the descriptions is so beautiful.

Ah, but what is a heart? The brain decides what we feel, doesn't it? The loss of his heart made England forget the aching of his heart, but its loss still left him bereft. Otherwise he wouldn't have turned to alcohol, right?

And of course, the desperation that leads England to literally give his heart to the immorality of his faeries. *sobs*

Can't wait for updates. I cried when I read this. It's so powerful. So touching. You're really gifted.
