“At any rate, they’ve been told that we, Arthur Kirkland and Alfred F Jones, are down here. I don’t know how they know it’s us, but they do.” Arthur frowned as Alfred continued speaking ( ... )

“Shit, man. You got shot...” Arthur had to say that it was strange seeing a man like Alfred F Jones frowning like that. It looked rather out of place on his young face. Arthur shook his head and carefully got his backpack off his shoulders ( ... )

They didn’t remain in the main chamber for long. They hurried back through the temple, silently and carefully as they kept a look out for more mercenaries. Arthur knew his assumption had been correct; the smartest thing for the mercenaries to do would have to have radios to contact each other, that way the different teams would know if another met any kind of trouble. Well, the mercenaries being disorganized was better for Arthur and Alfred, so Arthur wouldn’t complain, even though he thought it was rather stupid ( ... )

(your stalking UN!OP here, sorry I missed commenting last update!)

Er, guys, now's really not the time to be discussing that ò.ó As hilarious as Alfred can be.

Who sicked those mercs at 'em?! They'd practically have to be spying 24/7 to know Arthur and Alfred both independently came there... *looks at Ivan* You wouldn't have anything to do with this, would you dear?

Argh, why is it so quiet suddenly? You cliffhanger you!

He saw Alfred shrug in the corner of his eye as he peered over the edge of the hole. The mercenaries were mostly hidden behind some rubble, but he could make out that one of them was talking into an expensive looking radio. The man’s voice was clear, but as he was still speaking Russian, it was complete gibberish to Arthur ( ... )

“ARTHUR!” Alfred’s voice echoed through the room, almost louder than the bullets, and Arthur knew he was done for. Because Alfred had protection while Arthur did not, and now the mercenaries were close enough to actually aim.

He needed help, he needed something to hide behind. But for the first time in his life, Arthur Kirkland froze. ‘Oh God, help.’ The thought echoed through his head and he curled into himself, his eyes clenched tightly, deaf to Alfred’s shouts ( ... )

As Arthur ran over, still surrounded by that beautiful golden globe-sphere-thing Alfred came to some kind of conclusion. His heroic instincts had decided that, at least during this adventure, Arthur was his badass damsel in distress. So of course Alfred worried and went a bit panicky when Arthur nearly died without him being able to help.

Nodding to himself, pleased with himself for figuring it out, he got his gun out again; he was ready to get back at these Russian bastards.

He glanced at Arthur and frowned, he looked tired; really, really tired. That wasn’t good, not at all. He wondered if the triangle had anything to do with it, because he had not looked that tired before ( ... )
