It was in the afternoon that Arthur once again stirred. He would probably have slept longer if nor for his grumbling stomach. He got out of bed slowly, took of his pyjamas and replaced his underwear despite having put on clean ones after his shower just a few hours earlier. He also dressed in a pair of soft pants and a t-shirt before leaving his room, barefoot.
It was as he was making himself some scrambled eggs, and they most certainly weren't getting burnt, that the shrill sound of his phone startled him.
"Arthur Kirkland speaking." He tried to salvage his food as he kept his phone to his ear using his shoulder. Soup burns too easily, really.
"Mon ami, it is I!" The voice emanating from the phone was cheerful and annoying at the same time. Arthur grit his teeth and turned the stove off.
"What do you want, Bonnefoy?" he growled into the receiver as he now held the phone in one hand while grabbing a bowl from a cupboard with the other.
"I am merely curious about where you disappeared to last night." Even through the receiver, the

"But the night also provided a few surprises." Now she looked a bit mischievous. "Singer Allison Smith announced that she and her long time friend, Herman Johnson, are more than just friends and actress Joanna Hansson reported that she is pregnant with the child of her husband of two years, Michael Hansson." The woman made a small pause and now, Arthur thought, she looked downright devious

He dragged a hand over his face. In one evening he could easily have killed his entire career and without the incredibly high earnings of a world famous actor, there was simply no way Alfred could continue to support different help organizations nor would he be able to go back to the developing countries to continue his project of helping out with building hospitals and houses.
He had always dreamed to be a hero and he had finally found a way to truly do good in the world and now...
Chances were that he'd just destroyed everything he'd worked for simply because he was bored at a social event and decided to get plastered in the presence of a cute guy whose company he enjoyed.
Fuck.

Arthur felt numb as he picked up his ringing mobile phone. He stared at the telly that had pretty much just ruined his life.
"Arthur Kirkland speaking." His voice didn't betray his shock and horror, instead it remained monotone.
"Arthur, mon cher, why have you not told me about your love affair?" Him. Of course him. Why not him?

I am so incoherently happy about this fill. You have no idea. It’s just...wow! I don’t know what else to say, other them ramblings of a madwoman giggling with joyous glee. You, my talented anon, are amazing~

Arthur’s body worked on auto-pilot as he cooked dinner, still too shocked by the news report. He had thought that he’d gotten away from the hotel room without being seen, but he’d even gotten caught on camera and now that picture had been spread nationally, if not internationally considering Alfred F Jones’ level of fame and the fact that the internet existed. Not to mention that his name had been spread with it

Trust Arthur’s brothers to give him hell for this. I’m actually curious to read about his mother’s reaction XD It’ll be the most embarrassing phone call ever.
Love the bit about the facebook groups. It’s truly amazing how quickly they pop up, seriously.
