USUK- Loving somebody after one accidentally/unintentionally kill the other

Basically I want the story about one person, either US or UK accidentally killing the other (i.e. car accident, etc).. Feeling guilty, the person tries to contact the relatives/friends to know more about the person and apologise..

Any development of the story is welcomed (i.e. the person has no relatives, everybody happy that the person is dead, etc)
