There are tales of beautiful women who are not human who are found by a humble peasant who manages to steal something of theirs and make them his wife. In The Asian stories, it's the tales of the Celestial Maiden. In England and that area, it's the Selkies. And I'm quite sure there are more~ I want to see some story along those lines.
Bonus: Mangary/Femprussia... or UKfemUS? Bonus 2: happy ending?

It had never been Arthur’s intention to hurt her; looking back, he can’t even say why he thought it would be a good idea to steal the selkie’s pelt. That night, the Thunder Moon hung high in the dim sky, calling the selkie to the shore. Despite the warnings of his brothers, Arthur crept down to the jagged rocks of the coast and watched as the selkies’ shed their fur coats to dance

Slowly he peeled himself away from her, despite the intense urge to remain, and snuck over to the last pelt. While she slept and her sisters swam away, he snatched the pelt and raced home

Four years rolled by and Arthur was never happier. Abigail gave birth to a handsome child with her eyes and his eyebrows to her amusement. They named him Peter and Abigail took to motherhood well, caring and loving the child whole heartedly. Mother and son were never far apart; Peter clung to her skirts as she worked during the day and in the evenings she would take him to the seashore to teach him to dance and sing her songs. Arthur was happiest sitting there on the sand, watching as she took Peter’s tiny hands in hers and taught him how to kick his stubby legs to her song before she would grin and tug him up from his seat to join in

When he awoke next, he was aware of two things. One, his back and legs were cold and soaked but his front was warm. Two, his head was laying against something soft and firm, not sand but not a pillow either. His body ached and refused to move, even his eyelids felt weighted, so he laid there trying to recover

She was quiet for a long time and Arthur was too tired-and too scared-to break the silence. He wanted to curl up then, curl up against her side like the night they first danced together under the Thunder Moon. His fingers twitched at the thought of curling into her once more and brushed against something rough and warm. She had laid something on top of him, he realized, something to warm him

I had to admit that I had to arch my eyebrows at the idea of America as the supernatural creature but as I read, I realized it makes perfect sense. She has that wild, blithe personality, a being from another world and absolutely fascinated by mortals and land.
It's good to see a happy ending between the two of them, with her forgiving him for lying to her, instead of the usual tragic turn of events this kind of tale usually takes.
Another potential filler

I can't 100% guarantee that I'll actually get this done, but would OP mind if I did this for Greece/fem!Japan and took some liberties with the typical swan maiden plot?
A Wild Potential Filler Appeared!

Anon loves this prompt to death! Would Vietnam and China (or some other Asian pairing, anon has never really shipped them with each other so...) as Altair and Vega work for you?
Or, if that doesn't work out, would SuFin with fem!Finland as a Valkyrie who has cast off her swan skin, which Sweden takes, work? I would be willing to do fem!Sweden instead (those long locks of hair do seem very reminiscent of Valkyries, yes? And the original tale does involve the man being the son of the Finnish king.)

I grew up reading a story about a man who stole a selkie's pelt and married her (and I love Fem!US), so I absolutely loved this! It was magical.

This is so perfect. It's such a sweet and sad and wonderful story~
I'm so glad you filled it my darling anon~

It doesn't have to be exactly like the story~
