France (or Francis, if you want to go AU or use human names, I'm not picky) gets a new boyfriend one day and that's just dandy. That is, until one day they get into a fight and the new boyfriend either hits/horribly insults/yells at France in front of his BFFs Prussia/Gilbert and Spain/Antonio. Those two are definitely not okay with that, and come to their buddy's defence!
Afterwards, France breaks up with the guy and is comforted by his besties.
And, er, I'd like it if the boyfriend wasn't a canon character, because I don't like making them the bad guys ;_;

Dinner wore on slowly, and the candles were being lit at tables for more light as they finished up their meals. Prussia was entertaining them with a story about his brother and North Italy (although he used their human names in the company of all the people at the café, it wasn’t like they could just announce to the world who exactly they were), and Spain and France listening attentively. Mattieu, however, had seemed to grow more and more bored with stories of people he didn’t even know and had drifted off, impolitely staring out into the distance.
“Mattieu?” France turned to his boyfriend as Prussia finished up his most recent story about walking in on Germany in bed with North Italy, “S’il-te-plait, I know it’s not so interesting when you don’t know them, but at least pretend to pay attention? It’s rather rude to ignore Gilbert like this…”
“Mon chèr, I do not have to pay attention if they aren’t saying anything interesting. Besides, we’re almost finished and you did promise me something…” He drifted off suggestively, and both

A!A here with some translations and other miscellaneous things. Apologies for all the spam and the ignore the fact that the requester hasn't responded to question about request... I'll write it both ways and then finish it off here when anon responds I guess ^^ I got a bit impatient because I've gotten it mostly done, although I'll probably update with the next part tomorrow.
Translations: (as a note, Author!anon actually does speak French, but is unfortunately having to rely on internet translators and such for German and Spanish, so apologies for that ahead of time.)

So...ignore that second posting of part one... even better, delete it or something... for some reason LJ doesn't want to show me that I've posted to this...
Spain knew something was wrong as soon as he heard a knock at his door. No one knocked on the door. Anyone wanting to be let in rang the doorbell and his two best friends just barged right in, since he never left the door locked since they’d find a way to pick the lock anyway. He got up from the couch, patting the napping Romano on the head lightly to apologize for displacing him and set down his mug of coffee.
“Who’s there?” Opening the door cautiously, he blinked, dumbfounded as France just about collapsed into his chest, supporting the other nation carefully.
“Who is it?” Romano chose that moment to walk into the front entrance way, rubbing his eyes blearily as he peered at their guest, “What’s that pervy bastard doing here?” His insult held less bite in it in a combination of sleepiness from his recently interrupted siesta, and his growing awareness of the Frenchman

They sat like that for a while longer, France and Spain snuggling comfortably while Romano grudgingly offered what small comfort he could. Prussia burst in as France slept, tear tracks drying on his distraught face.
“What happened?” Upon seeing their usually active and cheerful friend sleeping, he quieted, slinking towards the three on the couch. Romano, glad that someone who actually liked the wine bastard had come, moved away from the couch, ignoring the whining sounds the sleeping France was making at the removal of warmth.
“Gracias Lovi!” Spain called after his former colony, shifting as Prussia approached to make a space for him, “Hey Gilbert.”
“What happened?” Prussia sat gingerly in the space provided, reaching to pull France towards him a bit and paused when he saw the tear stained face, “I’m going to kill that bastard. No one will even be able to recognize his bloody corpse when the awesome me has finished with it!”
“¡Espere, Gilbert.” Spain’s face was serious as he unwound one arm from France to grab his German friend

Hours later found Prussia waking up blearily to a soft sobbing sound beside him. He cursed softly as his consciousness returned to him and he registered that France had woken up without them and was crying again. He tightened his arms around the distraught nation comfortingly and opened his eyes.
“Frankreich? You okay?” He kept worried red eyes trained on the sobbing nation, but reached over to shake Spain awake, “Alles in ordnung.”
“Huh?” A sleepy inquiry from the other side of the bed made Prussia look up, “Nice to see you join us in the land of the living Antonio,” He smiled worriedly, gesturing to France, who was still sobbing, unresponsive to his inquiries or his touches.
Spain slowly wound his arms around the sobbing nation as well, pressing sleepy kisses to his head, “Estas bien, Francia.” He met Prussia’s eyes, slightly more awake, “How long

Spain smiled encouragingly at his friend and sat up, taking note of the fact that France was fairly clingy when upset, “Do you want to come with me to the kitchen to get to food ready, or stay here with Gilbert?”
A torn look on his face, France glanced between the other two nations undecidedly.
“It’s okay Frankreich, the awesome me will stay with you no matter what you decide!” Prussia puffed up his chest, which looked decidedly odd with him still lying down.
“I guess I’ll come down to the kitchen then...” France’s voice was still much quieter than usual, and Spain exchanged concerned looks with Prussia
“Come on then,” Spain held out a hand to help France up, “The food won’t make itself. Are you sure you don’t want tomatoes?”
“Oui, Antonio, I do not want tomatoes. Where’s South Italy?” France took the hand and pulled himself up and out of the bed, his voice gaining a bit more of its usual tone

“Tell us when you’re ready then.” Then the water was boiling and he was busy again, pulling the pot off the burner and setting the pan of oil in its place, adjusting the temperature and then turning to his bowl of flour and baking soda, pouring the hot liquid into the bowl slowly, stirring it with the fork in his other hand.
“Yeah,” Prussia was the only one to see France’s tired smile and he reached over to pull the other nation into his lap, rubbing his back comfortingly.
Spain glanced over again as he was spooning the dough into a pastry bag, smiling comfortingly, but unable to do anything else. Prussia grinned back, continuing the small circular motions on France’s back with one hand and running the other through the quieted nation’s long blond hair.
Carefully piping the dough out into the sizzling oil, Spain’s mouth was pursed in concentration, and France smiled tiredly at the sight, leaning his head into Prussia’s gentle touches.

“How’s Germany doing?” He directed the question to Prussia, and was replied to with a prompt “Awesome!”
“Good.” Whisking the drink of the stove briskly with one hand, Spain reached over to pour the finished coffee into one of the mugs, spooning some sugar in before pulling the hot chocolate off the stove, pouring two equal portions into the other two mugs.
He turned and pulled the small container of cream out of the fridge, pouring some into France’s coffee before returning it to the fridge. Putting a spoon into the mug for France to use, the grabbed his friends’ drinks first, going over to set them on the table by them.
“Mmmm,” France took a sip, closing his eyes happily at the taste, “Merci.”
“No problem,” Spain grabbed his own drink and plate of churros and joined them at the table, sitting on the other side of France and digging in, cutting the deep fried treat into bite sized pieces carefully

Firstly, I apologize for my absurd language kink which led me to adding random other languages into the sorry. Also, in my headcannon, using another country's human name, or using your country's name for them means that the speakers are close (a lot like using suffixes versus not using them in Japanese; No suffix indicates that you are really close) Apologies for the tiny hint of Spamano in there (I couldn't resist). Also, there are a few typos and stuff which I apologize for (I wrote half of this at like three am... =.= ).
Also, I can't put up the last part until someone indicates whether they want smutty comforting or not, because that's where it would go >.< So someone please... guide me or something.
Hope this fill is sufficiently filling OP's request, and having lots of fun writing it so far!

So, I went off somewhere for a few days and couldn't check up on the kinkmeme, then I got back and actually saw this on the fill list but forgot that I requested it, so I didn't read it for a while, then I FINALLY follow the link and see that it's my request and ;DFHJDA;JGA;G'AG'
