I know this is a really old request, but I just couldn't believe that it hasn't been filled yet (at least not as far as I'm aware of, and I searched pretty hard), so I decided to go ahead and fill it because I have a thing for pirates and also for doing horrible things to Romano. If there is a fill for this already, though, link me 'cause I wanna read it. xD
Also, shota just isn't my thing, so even though it's probably technically inaccurate for the 1600s, I've placed Romano's "human" age around 17ish for the purposes of this fic.

Holding his cutlass up in a defensive stance he moved quickly across the threshold... but he was not met with the fierce onslaught he was expecting. In fact, the quarters were quite vacant; straight across from him on the far side of the room heaps of well-used maps, bottles, and other trinkets and sundries were scattered about the chamber and across a worn mahogany desk, but the chair behind it was empty of its usual Spanish occupant.
England let the door swing slowly shut behind him, scowling in irritation. This made no sense-half a dozen candles were spread across the room, all of them still burning as though someone had been using them just recently. So where the bloody hell was-
"È ora che tu torni, stronzo! Dove cazzo eri?The Empire whipped his gaze over to the right, to the corner closest to the door, and stepped forward slightly. As he did the small nook there that had been hidden from his view came into sight, as did a figure garbed in simple but high-quality white vestments. He knelt in front of a small set of shelves with

The younger man swallowed nervously and fell silent. His eyes darted away again, but England cupped the boy's chin firmly and forced him to meet his gaze; though he was otherwise still, the Italian's fingers twitched nervously against his silk robes.
The Empire's smirk was so wide that it bared his teeth. In pleasant tones he said, "I believe you'll be coming with me."
"What?" The boy reacted immediately, jerking his chin out of England's grasp. "Get away from me, bastard! I'm not going anywhere with you

England moved to face his second-in-command, though he did not relinquish his hold on the younger nation. He reverted back to his own language to reply, "What it is?"
The other man gave his report without even batting an eye at the sight of his captain's position above the younger man. "We don't think they've realized we're here yet, but a ship flying the fleur-de-lis is approaching from the southwest."
England cursed under his breath.
"And we're damn well going to keep it that way. Tell them to take what they can, but pull the men back now"Aye, captain

asdfghjkl; I knew as soon as I saw the pairing that I was going to love this, but man! Fantastic. I cannot wait for an update. Not OP, but dark sounds good to me.
I didn't notice any glaring problems with the foreign languages, but I'm also not as fluent in Italian as I am in Spanish so take that with a grain of salt, I guess. XD I like the way you handled that, personally, the not feeling compelled to write all the dialogue in Spanish but still indicating that Spanish was being spoken.

A!A here~
I'm glad you're enjoying it! The other stuff I'm working on right now is a lot more lulzy, but dark stuff is my specialty so it's much easier for me to write. So this is like my vacation from my other fill, as horrible as that sounds.
It's also good to know you like how I'm handling the foreign phrases, but seriously though, let me know if I'm using too many of them at any point.

A!A again~
Thanks for the suggestion, I really appreciate it! I start work on my Italian major in a year or so, but until then all I have is a half-complete Spanish major and half a year of Italian in high school. So as I said, my Italian isn't exactly fantastic. .___.

Ah, I'm still here! I promise! I haven't left the fandom or anything (like so many other people D':), and I still fully intend to continue this fic. Life's been pretty batshit, but now that it's summer I finally have more free time and actually have the energy for inspiration. So do not despair!

Jesus fucking christ, guys, I am so sorry. I don't have any kind of decent excuse for how extraordinarily long it's been since I last updated, and I don't expect forgiveness for this grave sin I've committed against any followers this fill may have left... but I swear the next one won't take anywhere near as long to be posted! ; n ;___

The Englishman gave a small snort of disbelief, and chose to ignore the younger man while he continued to make himself comfortable.
He moved to light a few more tallow candles, brightening the dark oak table that served as his desk and sending flickering darker shadows to crisscross the paler streaks of moonlight. After removing his heavy leather baldric, he laid it and the flintlocks and cutlass bound to it carefully over the far end of the table, then bent to pick himself a drink from among the half-emptied bottles littering the floor at his feet. At last, he sat down heavily. He fished in his coat pocket with his free hand and grinned as he let a handful of gold doblón and escudo coins spill across the desk's surface. Several coins missed their mark and rolled off the edge to clatter to the floor, but the Empire leaned back unconcernedly to hook his elbows over the back of the chair and prop his boots across the desk. As he counted and sorted the small fraction of his rewards from the day he took occasional swigs from his bottle

Stunned, the Italian stared up at him. "But... why? You don't get anything until I've been returned; keeping me that long won't gain you anything!"
"Oh, it'll gain me plenty either way," the blond said with a smirk. "But no matter how long our time together, it's going to become unpleasant rather quickly if you don't start being useful. You still haven't given me anything of worth, so unless you want to make me very irate you'll tell me exactly why you're here in Las Canarias instead of wherever that fool has been squirreling you away

I really really like this so far!
as for the Italian sentences, they're all correct but I would change "È ora che tu torni" with "Era ora che tornassi". it sounds better that way :)
