I would love to read a fic about the Bad Touch Trio coping with being on opposite sides of a war while still remaining friends.
Them trying not to let friendship affect the decisions they make on the battlefield or war grudges affect their friendship, sneaking away to get drunk together or whatever you want :)

It is late at night on the 25th of June, 1940 when Prussia slips into France’s room.
France does not want to see him; he tells him so, in harsh and ugly French, accent tainted by the foreign soldiers on his land.
Prussia, for once, has nothing to say, and sits himself in a chair in the corner of the room and watches with dull interest as France fiddles with the radio before finding an acceptable station. Les Deux Copains fills the room and Prussia scoffs, rolling his eyes

this was really well done. you hit that right note of bittersweetness. I love friendship fills and these two are pretty wonderful together. The different voices that France heard in his head were interesting.

This is wonderful, anon, with just the perfect hints of bitterness. I love the touch of the card-playing at the end, that seems very in character for them. The fandom could always use more France and Prussia interaction, in my opinion, so thank you for writing this!

I really love you for this. There's a very sad lack of France + Prussia in the fandom and I absolutely love their interactions--romantic or platonic. Thank you, this was lovely.

Short, yet very rich. That's the best way to describe this. I love France and Prussia's interaction in this, with all it's subtleness. The historical background makes the mood rather bitter, but it makes the offer for a card game all the more meaningful.
You've made me very happy, dear anon! Thank you very much for this lovely story! It's everything I'd been hoping for when I made the request and so much more. It's funny, I'd been yearning for ages for a story exploring France and Prussia's friendship during the Nazi occupation.
I love everything about this story, especially the little details that added so much to the atmosphere and authentic historic feeling, such as Edith Piaf (I listened to the song while reading) and the choice between Belote and Skat. I could just picture this scene so vividly in my mind, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife. The awkwardness, Prussia not quite apologizing but coming as close to it as his pride will permit him, France's dignity in defeat and the gorgeous ending, it all comes together perfectly.
I'm sorry for replying so late. RL kept me away from the kink meme for a while, but finding your fill waiting for me was a wonderful way to return to it!
Ah, thank you! (And all other anons too.) I'm glad you liked it, and I actually am a bit tempted to explore this request in a few different ways with different wars and such, but I'm not sure if I will or not. Maybe....but thank you again!
