Near the end of This Place Called Absence by Lydia Kwa, there's a scene where the narrator, having watched and admired a girl for a while goes home with a her after an injury in a coffee house shares a lot more than just casual sex. In fact it's a highly cathartic moment for both of them, as they confess their pasts, share literature and music tastes, brush each other's hair and stay close without actually having sex. In the morning, the girl sings La Vie En Rose to the narrator, and realizing they have a real connection here, they eventually get into a relationship.
This is relevant because the girl in question is named Francis.
So I'd like to see one of these pairings set to a scenario like that. It can be canon or AU, whatever.
Bonus: genderbent yuri, since the scene this is based on is between two girls.
