Male nation/female nation: Unexpected pregnancy anonymous October 5 2011, 17:07:24 UTC
Nation A and Nation B have a bit of dilemma; Nation B is pregnant and neither of them really wanted to become parents. Whether they're in a relationship, friends with benefits or had an EPIC one night stand, they most definitely did not plan on it.

For whatever reason, they decide to go through with it and give the kid a fair shot at life.

Bonus:
1- The only pairings that I really don't like are PrussiaxCanada, CanadaxUkraine and Germancest. Anything else is fair game.

Is there any territory between that could be Hungary's and Romania's child? I kind of want to write that.

I'm interested in giving this prompt a shot as well. Does the OP mind gender bending?

Tears Part 1 anonymous October 16 2011, 04:12:09 UTC
Greece had never seen Japan cry before, but he had always had a vague idea of what it would be like. He suspected that, much like everything else about Japan, her tears would be quite reserved. Greece imagined that she would have a forlorn look on her face - sad brown eyes downcast and face turned slightly away -- as quiet tears gently fell down her pale cheeks. That was what he had envisioned, but what he saw that day was something else entirely ( ... )

"Kiku, don't cry," he soothed, running a gentle hand up and down her back. It was a gesture he usually used on his cats. While it tended to work well enough on them, it had little impact on Japan, who seemed intent on maintaining her state of hysterical tears until she herself chose to stop. "Kiku... you'll make yourself sick... if you keep crying like this ( ... )

"Kiku," he began, fishing out the small stick from his pocket. He wanted to know, but at the same time did not want to hear the answer. It would change everything. It would hurt. It would... it could destroy whatever had been building between them. Yet all the same, his mother had taught him to face the future head on, and that was what he was going to do. "What does... this mean ( ... )

She turned to him then, brown eyes wide and frightened as she searched his face and only found sincerity. "You say that now, when it's easy," she said. "But it won't be later on. It'll only get harder."

"I don't care," Greece answered. "We've never done what was easy. It's not in our nature."

"It'll change us," Japan warned.

"The world is always changing."

"The world is in turmoil. Do you really want to... to do this now?"

"There will never be a perfect time," he reasoned. "And we've been given this opportunity now... We should take it." Greece waited for a response, but was only met with silence as Japan's eyes drifted downward, a thoughtful, troubled look on her face. "I could marry you," he ventured. "If that would make you feel better ( ... )

Not!OP who nonetheless loved this fill anonymous October 16 2011, 18:59:09 UTC
When I read about Japan crying her eyes out, I was momentarily afraid that this would be a melodramatic fest, but I kept on reading and was pleasantly surprised at how you managed to keep them IC in spite of the unorthodox situation they found themselves in. I really liked their conversations about passion and change and how sweet and comforting Greece was to Japan. His closing quote about how he hoped that Japan was pregnant was simple but filled me with joy because it showed that he had accepted this and was ready to make it a part of his life. ♥

This was a very nice and touching fill overall. Here's some more hearts for you, author!anon: ♥ ♥ ♥

m-my heart, be still...

....I am tempted to quote the whole of Part 4, seriously I am. Because that was what I loved the most about this fill. But instead, I will just quote my favourite bits:

"I could marry you," he ventured. "If that would make you feel better."
"You would only be marrying me out of duty."
He shrugged. "I would have married you a hundred years ago if you had let me."
Japan shifted and he was pleased to see that she moved towards him. "I don't know how to do this."
"Neither do I. We'll learn together."

This was wonderfully done, and really sweet and moving. Like the anon above, I love their conversation about the world changing and how both were just as afraid of the changes and yet deep, down inside, they still are willing to try their best together because they love each other so, so much.

Great job, anon! ♥

...So adorable! You have no idea how much I squealed in my little corner of the world. GreecexJapan is one of my favourites and it's kind of rare to find this pairing with genderbending involved.
