Belarus thinks Russia has a thing for his southern neighbor, so she decides to go scope out her competition. What? No, that knife is just for self defense. Not for harming China. Nope, not at all.

Only, China likes having company and treats Belarus wonderfully and invites her to visit again. And again. And again. Somehow or other they end up falling for each other.

Bonus:
1. Russia is jealous of Belarus.
2. The rest of the world goes "wtf" when they find out.

It all started when she finally realized it.

Russia's glances, and what's with him smiling while staring off to space.

And she could swear to General Winter, she saw him carrying a doll that terribly resembles him.

So, with eyes twitching and knife under her dress in tow, she marches over to the Chinese man's territory.

(Well, she booked a flight and she have to wait for 6 hours, but that's beside the point.)

And, well, fuckShe expected him attacking her when she knocked(banged) into his door, effectively making the wood creak

He doesn't mind her company.

Sure, she scared the shitload out of him when she threw the butter knife and tried to make it implant itself on his head.

Actually, China thought she missed intentionally. Because, with all due respect, he knows what that girl could do.

After introducing her to Taiwan and South Korea, who is hanging around his house that time, he could tell that she likes Taiwan.

He couldn't blame her. The girl ain't called Ilha Formosa for nothing.

But when Belarus finally left and thanked him, even allowing a little smile ghost over her lips and direct it to him, something made him snap.

Belarus. Thanked. Him.

He found himself smiling while walking through his garden, gleefully taking in the information, just like when a schoolgirl somehow got a hug from her longtime crush.

'She said thank you. To me. She smiled. To me.

He felt absolutely ridiculous- other nations would definitely throw something at him, but what could he doYou can't see Belarus like that everyday, and he felt like he was the luckiest man alive

Not OP. It feels a little smooshed, but that's probably because A) You planned it as a oneshot and B) I just want moar China/Belarus. I like your Belarus better than your China, but I loved the knife throwing scene. It was perfect.

These two are my secret favorite rarepair that I thought nobody else supported because fics for them are practically non-existent. I love you for writing this.
