Kiku tortured as a prisoner of war.

Plenty of fics exist involving Japan and/or his people doing unspeakable things to China and Korea. They did, but they're hardly unique in that. (No offence meant - some of my ancestors did it too, and most people of any nationality aren't bad people.) So let's twist it around; Kiku is captured by the enemy, and undergoes horrible things. He's small, cute, has a high enough kill count for them to want vengeance, is under most circumstances much more powerful than a normal human so there's a distinct thrill in overpowering him (they may not know exactly what he is but he would be tough to take down), and he heals up pretty much any wound they can inflict so he won't inconveniently die on them. Badass!Kiku fights back every damn step of the way even if he ultimately fails - ever seen The Shawshank Redemption? Plenty of blood from both him and them, and preferably some Berserker Tears on Kiku's part. I do want him to be freed eventually, but put him through the wringer in the meantime
