America and England are into each other-- they both know it, but neither wants to be the first to admit it. France decides to play matchmaker by pretending to woo America and thus force England's hand. He goes all out, not only with romantic gestures but also with spreading rumors that he is honestly looking for a serious relationship.

Just as planned, England does end up approaching America. Quite contrary to the plan, America turns England down in favor of France. What happens next is up to the filler.

Bonus points if:
* France is not only uninterested in America, he's in love with England.
* It's obvious to just about everyone but France that America is falling in love with him, and some even find their relationship cute.
* The tension between America and England isn't just assumed to be romantic/sexual, and France is only certain after very revealing (and alcohol-fueled) conversations with both of them.

I'm totally down with straight-up FrUs as long as France doesn't go in honestly trying to make America fall in love with him. In spite of the order, first bonus is actually the one I care least about.

All my giggling for this prompt I can't even.
Oh gosh.. Hm, my otp is ukus/usuk, but frus is my undeniable eyecandy as well. I love how Francis would play mischievous matchmaker, but is oblivious that his wooing is actually working. hm, not able to lean into bonus one, but everything else is a go. Guh, let this be filled.. D8
But this is surely tempting to write myself.. huh.. So, yeah, I'll see.
