After seeing this picture, I wanted to request some yandere!Korea, but now I'd rather see any (unexpected) country go yandere or just plain possesive.
And by unexpected, I mean anyone other than Russia, Belarus and Latvia. Maybe Poland, Spain, France, or god forbid, North Italy. But Korea's still an option of course.

The international situation being how it is, maybe this isn’t unexpected per se. But here goes, hope OP doesn’t mind. I’m contemplating a double fill with yandere Japan, but no guarantees.
“I know you’re in there. You can’t avoid me. Open this door!”
The door stayed closed. Yao folded his arms and counted to a hundred before knocking again. “I taught you better than this!”
Another count of a hundred passed before the door opened a crack, the small gap crossed by several security chains. She peered out and along with her eye Yao could glimpse pieces of her hair, her pale throat, her blue-green cheongsam. “There’s no need to shout.”
“And just what,” Yao hissed, “do you think you’re doing?”
“Oh, it depends. What do you think I’m doing?”
Her voice remained cool but the narrow strip of face betrayed her nerves. Good, Yao thought. She should be nervous
( ... )
OP here and OP fucking loves this. I always love seeing a more aggressive China and that scene with him trying to hold open the gap in the door kinda reminds me of a scene in Higurashi.
And even with the yandere!China, you managed to make the ending heart-breaking instead of creepy. Very good job, indeed.
Thank you for the love! I hoped to mesh what I know of the current Taiwan situation (with things like those hundreds of missiles pointed cross-strait) with the "China melancholy" of canon (with things like his lamenting his alienation from Japan, part of why Japan also ended up making an appearance), and I'm glad that worked for you.

Omg, this was absolutely wonderful. I love China/Taiwan, I'm hoping she'll finally appear in a strip soon so we can see the two of them interact. (Also holding out hope for a Mongolia one day.) I wish I knew who you were anon, so I could worship you/have your babies/give you internets. Haha but seriously, this was awesome.

Thank you. I'd also definitely like to see Taiwan in a strip, even if it's only a few panels like Tibet's in "China and Teensy Japan." Like Tibet's appearance, I imagine it will probably be at some distance from potential controversy - that's fine, more for me. >_> Personally, I kind of hope for a North Korea - your chances are probably better in that regard.
As for who I am, I'm semi-infamous as the Rape of Nanking anon (you can start backing now away if you want). Also, your wish is perfectly timed, since just yesterday I put together an index of my fills here - http://tinyurl.com/6ufbzx (Mods, if this violates anon protocol I throw myself on your mercy)

Taiwanon is very much in love with this. X3 yandere!China vs Taiwan was a good choice. D8 And it's also a topic that you still see reflected in today's society. :0 I can't even begin to say how many arguments broke out in Chinese school over the mainland vs Taiwan. DX They ended up banning it in class because it was so controversial...
(OOH! And the last few lines were the best. Absolutely beautiful.)
X3 But I'm just rambling, now. 8D Excellent job, anon!! What a wonderful portrayal of the unexplored side of China~!

Thank you, and glad for the love! While I don't live in Taiwan myself, I have a lot of family that does or used to, and maybe osmosis influenced my decision together with the reading I was doing.
Japan and China were my first thoughts when I saw the prompt (along with North Korea pulling a leaf from Russia's book). Since I've already done some fills with dark!Japan, and Korea was somehow getting into all of my fills, I wanted to try a different perspective. Then I looked back to "China and Teensy Japan," and things proceeded from there. I'm happy you like the results.

Great to know it struck you so much, thank you! I imagine (through history + Hetalia canon) and try to write Yao as someone whose actions may not always be condonable but still has pathos.
And by unexpected, I mean anyone other than Russia, Belarus and Latvia. Maybe Poland, Spain, France, or god forbid, North Italy. But Korea's still an option of course.
