England's scowl deepened as he watched, and he tapped a foot on the carpet disapprovingly. "It's not funny," he intoned, eyebrows nearly meeting in the middle of his forehead

"It's not about one incident, git," England snarled, hands clenched into fists at his sides. "It's about the entire way you've been carrying yourself, boarding my ships and maiming innocent merchants like, like some kind of filthy, lawless, thieving buccaneer--"
"--Don't you talk to me about pirates," Spain countered dangerously, drawing himself up to his full height. He paused, then grinned ruthlessly. "In fact, hey, you should be thanking me for giving this idiot of yours the chance to come up with a real snappy pirate name! At first I was a bit lost, since I didn't know what you were referencing, but once I read the last line it hit me and I'm still ROFLing so hard. I had to read it a second time right away. Tone-Deaf, heee! Oh Spain, you.

I LOVED THIS. The interaction was hilarious and very in-character, and SPAIN WHY YOU SO CUTE <333 I love your writing style too, by the way! Thanks for writing this! The world needs more Spain. And definitely more England/Spain.
