We've seen a lot of fics for Lithuania and Latvia, but what about the forgotten Baltic brother?
Russia/Estonia- Estonia thinks that he's safe from Russia's "love" and abuse since he's the most ignored out of the three Baltic nations. Russia proves him wrong.
Can't Tune It Out

Estonia has learned to tune out the noises of the house. At first every distant echoing cry and every sob cut to his heart like a blade, but now he can ignore it. It's not that I'm cruel, he tells himself as he reads, ignoring the screams he can hear in the distance. But there's nothing I can do for them. If I tried to intervene, I'd just get hurt.
At least one of us can go untouched.
At least one of us can thrive.
The screams finally die down into whimpers and then nothing. Russia is done for the night, then. It's a small relief, but it is one. In a few minutes he'll slip down, provide bandages and the limited aid he can, and comfort his brothers. It's a routine he's settled into.
Which is why it catches him entirely off guard when his door opens, revealing a tall figure he knows all too well. Russia's smiling a little, cheeks flushed with drink, a bottle still in one hand. He enters slowly, and Estonia rises to a stand, salutes as best he can, fights down his heart rate. Why is he here?! He never comes here!"Estonia," Russia

This is short yet so well done, beautiful and heart wrenching. I particularly liked the part about Estonia being unable to ignore the screams this time because they were his own. I guess I can't really say poor Estonia because at least he took one for his brothers this time so they wouldn't hurt too much.
OP is just amazed. This is exactly what I wanted and much more. I really loved Estonia's thought process behind why he doesn't try to intervene with Latvia & Lithuania. And that last line tied the entire story up very nicely.

Estonia and Russia have such a different relationship from the other Baltic Brothers, but you did it justice! Really, loved. ♥♥♥
