On the Alaska Purchase wikipedia entry, I found this:
"The transfer of Russian America in 1867 to the United States of America by Tsarist Russia, a transaction historically purported as an intrinsically legal sale, was claimed to be only a lease by Professor Igor Panarin, former KGB analyst[7], in an interview with Izvestia published on Monday, November 24, 2008."
I want Russia to have taken Alaska to be a lease... and now he wants it back.
I've seen a few fanworks show Alaska as one of America's feet. Work with that.
