US/UK.
Emotional Airport reunion.
OP is just back from holiday.
Can be passionate, smutty, fluffy, slight angst? No sad endings. I've had e-freaking-nough of US/UK fics making me sit and cry. I ship because it makes me happy, not so it can make me sad!!!
I trust you, Anons. Run with it.
RUN WITH IT, I SAY.
Bonus Points: Dropping luggage and running to embrace. CLICHE YEEAAAH

Same volunteernon as above. (: I went with something just cute and happy, ala Love Actually like I said, because fluff with a touch of angst is my specialty. I hope it pleases OPnon!
Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow airport.
Arthur Kirkland tapped his foot impatiently, eyes glancing from the arrivals announcements to the gate. There were people coming through, with travel-worn expressions and blindly hopeful eyes, looking into the throng for someone, anyone, who loved them, who knew they existed. He watched fathers being reunited with children, watched children being reunited with tearful parents. And he smiled faintly, because he was surrounded by so much warmth and love and affection, because there was so much hope and good feeling grounded in this place, this place in his land, that he had to smile. Those around him probably assumed he was waiting for someone

When the planes hit the Twin Towers, none of the phone calls from people on board were messages of hate or revenge: they were all messages of love.Alfred loved to fly. He always had - he was the nation that had invented flight, after all, it was only natural. But there was still a part of him that rebelled. Ever since he was attacked with his own planes, a small part of him had been petrified of what he had once adored. But still, he loved to fly, and still, he wore his beaten leather pilot’s jacket with pride

Arthur had decided to sit down and wait for Alfred’s flight at some time in the past nine hours. He hadn’t slept, no, just sat back and people-watched as flight after flight rolled in. He had wandered off at one point to nab a bite, but not very far at all. As the hours ticked down into minutes until Alfred’s flight would come in, Arthur had picked up the piece of plain paper, worried it in his hands, rolled it up and unrolled it, rolled it the other way and unrolled it, reading each time JONES written boldly and clearly. He wasn’t sure what had possessed him to come pick Alfred up personally this time

Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy but it's always there. Fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends.... lf you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around.

Aww!! I can't remember the last time I read something that sweet! <3 And by any chance, has anon been on a People to People trip? I remember spending quite a bit of time in airports wearing that outfit. Really it was fun ^_^
Three, actually. I practically lived in those shirts three summers in a row. x3 Once in England, even (and Australia, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Ireland, and Wales...). Though we didn't land in Heathrow.
Oh, People to People. How recognizeable your travel uniforms are. xD

It thrilled him to the core to stand there with his arms open, even though his face burned scarlet, his invitation as good as a ‘Free Hugs’ sign emblazoned across his shirtfront. Anon started to tear up and d'aaaw from there. I died, author!anon. You're wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Really God, thank you. I'm kinda crying and, God ;-;.
