(Writer!anon apologizes profusely for causing so much trouble.)

...Well.

First there was fear.

Then there was school.

Then there was laziness.

And now, there is this fic:

(Disclaimer: Writing style shifts ever-so-slightly due to fail!delay.)

China’s hand moved with the grace of age, experience, and skill. The brush;-slick, soft, and with the perfect pointed tip--glazed over the paper with the blackest ink. Calligraphy, China noted, was the perfect fusion of ideas, writing, and art-it was a one-of-a-kind practice belonging to China alone (not the idea of representing images or ideas as symbols, mind you, but the evolution of the small pictures into the now almost unrecognizable, seemingly random and complicated strokes and dots); that is, until Japan modified his beautiful symbols into those ugly Hiragana.

But Korea! How dare he claim China’s perfect kanji belonged to him! Why couldn’t he simply be contented with his own writing system? Is that not enough?! Why, only half a thousand years ago, China was able to get along ( ... )

Korea stared him down with an almost painfully hard gaze, as if he wished to share his pain with the one who had assaulted him. Then, he charged forward, but suddenly swerved, swept under and to the side, and delivered a swift, circular kick across the floor. China leapt upwards to avoid the kick, but to prevent himself from becoming vulnerable (as his movement capabilities were sorely impaired while airborne), he slammed his feet back on the ground, setting off Korea’s balance slightly. While Korea was inoperable, China took the opportunity and punched him right in the chest. Korea was knocked off his feet, and skid a half a meter before looking up to face his Aniki again. As he got back up, China resumed his stance once more ( ... )

Upon the departure and eventual return of the sun, China awoke. He stretched, made himself a pot of tea, and eventually decided to return to his calligraphy. However, he was once again greeted by the Korean...but he smiled.

…Oh, hi! I tried to help you fix that hole in the wall!”

China’s smile twitched slightly.

Korea had patched up the hole with his calligraphy papers.

Hm... definitely something new and rather cracky... I'm actually not sure what to say about this.

At least one point though, Korea should be calling it "Hanja," not kanji. The funny part is that "Hanja" literally means, "Han letters" (Han being a reference to the Han dynasty of China). Korean!anon is not going to get into the constant use of "Aniki."

...Just after posting this, I facepalmed at several mistakes, then decided to leave it, since...you know...lateness and anonymity and all.

Really? I wasn't completely sure what it was called, so thank you very much for telling me! /notes

I was debating over whether I should change the level of "aniki" (i.e. wipe them all off) or not--the reason being whether I wanted to stay "true to the comic" or not--so it was really all or nothing.

But thanks for the all the information/criticism! These replies are the kinds I love the best, to be honest. Hee.
