It was excruciating. It was mortifying. It was beyond anything that Arthur had ever experienced in his former life of piracy. Sure, he'd given up his days of pillaging the seas and forcibly taking over other nations (wait, scratch that) for parenthood, but nothing - nothing - could have prepared himself for this.
“My, my, it looks like Arthur and Matthew are reaching about that age,” Francis mentioned innocently one day.
“What age?” Arthur asked, raising an eyebrow as he brought his teacup to his lips.
“Oh, you know.... that age when your body starts ... changing...”
Tea immediately spewed out of Arthur's mouth like an Earl Grey-flavoured geyser all over the Frenchman.
“Putain! What the hell's wrong with you!” Francis cursed, wiping his face with the tablecloth as the other man broke into a coughing fit. “Aargh, this was a new shirt ( ... )

“Alfred! Matthew!” he called. “Can you two come down here, please?”
“Coming~!” came the reply.
“Shut it,” Arthur said sharply. Francis did, but the smirk remained. They turned their heads to the sounds of footsteps coming down the stairs, and the two boys tottered into the kitchen.
“Um, what did you want to talk to us for?” Matthew yawned, rubbing his face sleepily into the top of his bear's head (he'd been napping). “...Are we in trouble?”
“We didn't do it,” Alfred said instantly.
“No! I-it's nothing like that...” Arthur cleared his throat awkwardly, trying (and failing) to psych himself up for this. “You two just, ah, sit down and we'll, uh, get started...”
“Bonne chance, mon p'tit choux,” Francis cooed, blowing him a kiss. He ( ... )
