I know that Russia/Lithuania's pretty common in this meme, but goddamnit I cannot get enough.

In 1905, Lithuania tried to rebel against Russia in order to take advantage of the general rebellion going on around then. 1905 is also when Russia pretty much canonly cracked in Hetalia. So, for fic, Lithuania trying to leave Russia, not realizing just how insane Russia is now. Maybe his first time getting seriously whipped?

He wakes up cold and seemingly alone, though he isn't stupid or naïve enough to believe that to be the case, and realises quickly that he had been striped naked, and that he cannot move.

His voice rises in a choked cry.

He tugs at the bonds binding his arms, then tries his legs, but everything holds firm. He is on a bed, covered with sheets of some low-grade material. It scratches at his thighs uncomfortably.

He cries, softly, "Padėkite!"

"When you speak like a dog, who will help? The other dogs?" Russia glares at him through red-rimmed eyes, out of the darkness, appearing silently as a ghost.

"Let me go! Please, let me go," Lithuania begs ( ... )

He notices immediately that his feet are no longer bound, and his hands are tied this time behind his back. He nearly begins to sob at the fact that he is not yet free, but a warm blanket had been thrown over him as he slept, and he is curled into a ball in the centre of it, as if to protect his wounds ( ... )

Russia's last line and Liet's response are particularly interesting. I love the contrast between pity/sympathy and hatred.

Very cool, I love it how there is both sympathy and pain in this story. That's so much Lithuania's character, poor thing who cares to comfort even his tormentor.

This is hot. Is it wrong that I find angstridden Russia/Lithuania hot? I love the resignation in Lithuania's heart as he prepares to suffer. Good thing he finally did get his independence in 1990. Great fic.
