Gosh, I told myself that I was not going to write this because I have so much schoolwork to do... but the beginning kind of wrote itself. I hope you don't mind Canada being a girl, and that this isn't too crappy. It's the first time I've written fanfic in three years... and um, this is kind of like a prologue...Canada and America have had a long history with one another, as well as a love-hate relationship. (Granted, it was a lot more love than it was hate.) Others have always wondered why they haven’t married yet, but truth be told, they were happy living just the way they are. Not much better, but I know where I want to go with this now. orzCanada and America had a long history together; they have known each other for a long time, ever since they were little kids playing street hockey and terrorizing the local squirrels, but their real relationship started when they were young teenagers. After getting mad at England for being a shitty father who didn’t understand that America needed his freedom, America ran away. He didn’t run far-across the street, to the unoccupied house beside France’s house. Sure, it wasn’t that far away from home, but it was the best that he could do and anywhere was better than living under England’s roof ( ... )

Canada knew from past school projects done she’s done with America that things have to be done his way. She never really found reason to argue about it-in the long run, it didn’t matter whose way they did the project, their mark usually were one of the top marks in the class anyway no matter how badly they messed up. The combination of Canada’s can-do-no-wrong aura and America’s charisma proved to be a life-saving combination when explaining to a teacher about the disasters that hindered them from completing the assignment on time ( ... )
