Two Sides of the Story Part I anonymous January 9 2009, 07:04:46 UTC
As soon as America walked into England’s house with a smile on his face and a song on his lips, England knew something was up. England also felt vaguely like screaming, but decided not to as that would only give America a kind of satisfaction that he had been trying vainly not to ever since… well. Since the ‘incident’.

“Hey Iggy!” America said brightly as his smile grew brighter. “Want to know something cool?”

England poured another cup of tea for the beaming country and pushed the tea cup over. Don’t scream. “No, I don’t.”

“Awesome, I’ll tell you anyways,” America said as he took the tea and made a face at what it was. “Oh come on, you know I don’t drink tea.”

“I know,” England said blandly. What he had wanted to say was get out. It had not been a good week for him as just yesterday, while he was having a nice, relaxing picnic with his unicorn pals, who had to show up, but America and scare them away with his impurity? “Spit it out or go bother Russia.”

“The Office is getting a new season,” America said, smirking. He ( ... )

“It is not!”

“We have more episodes! That means more people demanded for more! It also means our characters are more developed!”

“That means nothing! Just because -”

“Michael is actually a sympathetic character! People care about him!”

“David Brent is -”

“We also have a greater cast which means more characters for watchers to relate to!”

“SHUT IT!” England finally exploded and actually grabbed one of his scones and threw it at America’s head where it bounced off with a hollow thud. “I am not going to argue on such a stupid issue with you anymore! Get out.”

His breath was coming in short pants and as America’s shocked face slowly transformed into that of victory, England had to remind himself of Canada and that there are other countries out that he rather did like and destroying the world with nuclear bombs was not a good idea“Alright, alright, I’m leaving,” America said, cautiously moving away from the livid country and it was obvious that he was trying not to smile. Once he was at the door however, he gave a quick look around ( ... )

Ah. “That thing.” England had watched about two episodes of it before taking a leaf out of Hungary’s book and smashing his telly to bits with a frying pan. “That sad, humorless thing.”

And now, for shameless praise.

I. LOVE. YOU!!!!

THIS! THIS IS THE REASON I LOVE ENGLAND/AMERICA INTERACTION AND THIS IS THE REASON YOU CAN HAVE ALL MY INTERNETS AND WHY YOU ARE A TOTALLY AWESOME ANON!WRITER! I was laughing the whole way through! Thank you! Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!

Shameless praise is greatly loved, no worries. xD

Thanks a lot! I'm very flattered you liked it as with the thing with writing humor is that you never quite know if it's actually funny or if it's just you. xD

“Huh,” Russia said to himself without much surprise as the screams of pain reached his ears. “I can hear America from my house.”

*SPITS TEA OUT*

FRYPAN.

Oh. OH. ENGLAND.

I am a Brit!Anon who doesn't actually like the office (shame!), but I have seen what America does to some of our finest shows (ie. Teachers) and I agree with Arthur-

USA SUCKS AT COPYING OUR COMEDY.

Stick to your own, Alfred. >:|

Great job! Xx

LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE IT <3 <3 <3 They are so in-character and it's HILARIOUS. XD

His breath was coming in short pants and as America’s shocked face slowly transformed into that of victory, England had to remind himself of Canada and that there are other countries out that he rather did like and destroying the world with nuclear bombs was not a good idea. --LMFAO XD I love how Canada's mentioned here specifically <3 /Canadafan

Haven't watched either show, but I have watched some of the American one... and I didn't find it funny. xD I have to watch the Brit one to see if it's funny or just as fail as the American one, though, so I still can't side with either party lol.XD

But thank you very much for your lovely comment! <3

LOLOOL *is a Canadafan herself*

The American takes a certain getting used to. My friends made me watch past the first season and from the second one onward, it's much better. Actually, it's quite good. xD IstillprefertheBritishonethough
