I totally didnt' know that. I live on the west coast and seems (in my town at least) that if one is talking about the noun 'route' (such as paper route) is it pronounced 'Rowt.' Only if it's in a name is it pronounced 'root.' Then again, we do tend to do things a little strange 'on the island.'

Matt is so adorkably sweet, and Al's just an ass, isn't he? A really hot, confident ass, who will of course have legions of fangirls/boys in no time. The "route" exchange made me lol, but I was grinning like a maniac the entire time. And SQUEE! for Francis hanging all over and annoying the crap out of Arthur, and OMG cannot wait to see the East Block team and and and...~!
Boarding/private school stories are my favorite, too--even though OP went to public school, she tends to romanticize the private school experience (plus those yummy uniforms, hee ^___^). The use of tropes and the familiar elements are what makes a High School AU work (and they bring the nostalgia, too, which I have to confess is a huge part of why I love them), and you pull it off so beautifully here. I hope hope hope with fingers crossed that this is going to be continued, but thank you so much for what you've done already!
