Arthur knocked once, sharply, on Alfred's door, and then settled back to wait. It wasn't an official visit, but he felt he really must talk to the other nation about the way the economy was going, how it was affecting all of them, and it was best to do it in person where Alfred couldn't hang up on him or send all his e-mails to the spam folder.

After a moment with no answer, Arthur knocked again. This time there was a muffled groan and then a loud, "It's open!"
